We absolutely LOVED our stay here. The cottage was pristine, updated and has everything you need â it is actually larger than it looks in the photos. You are right on the water and we feel the beach is the best in Michigan â it is so private and quiet. We loved falling asleep to the sounds of the waves AND the gentle sounds of the tiny creek that runs through the property. Andrew and Faith were extremely communicative and could not have been more lovely to work with. Highly recommended!
This Lake Michigan cottage provided a perfect hub for a beautiful week on Leelanau. The property was neat and clean with several obvious recent upgrades. Communication from the owners was outstanding. The beds were comfortable which, coupled with the soothing sounds of waves coming ashore, led to some of the best sleep we have had in some time. As nice as the cottage is, the beach area is equally amazing. The beautiful clear blue water and miles of wide sandy beach complete with all the beautiful stones (including Petoskies and blues) a person could want, makes it tough to find time to explore the numerous attractions Leelanau has to offer. Our only complaint was that the week seemed too short. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone. We certainly hope to return!
We loved our stay at this 1930âs cottage on the lake. Waking up every day to the peaceful sounds of the waves and vivid colors of the trees was quite refreshing and a true escape from city life. We already miss the warm sunlight streaming in through the windows, the sounds of the birds every day, and walking along the beach.
The owner Andrew was awesome, and reached out upon arrival to ensure we had what we needed. The beds and linens and towels are super comfortable. The living area has a gorgeous bay of open windows facing the lake.
We loved the location in between Leland and Northport, and enjoyed getting to explore the north side of Leelanau county while hiking at the state park and many other trails. Gorgeous!!
Thank you!

This really is a special property. Right on Lake Michigan, the sound of the surf coming through the window, the beach sandy and easily accessible. The cottage is larger than it looks in the photos (we thought), and the bathroom and beds are great. Very comfortable place to relax and enjoy the region. Would recommend highly and stay again if possible.
Wonderful week on Lake Michigan with our family. The house is as described in the listing and other reviews. It is clean and in great shape for a 1930âs cottage. The location is amazing and the owners were very helpful and available at all times.
Beautiful, rustic setting. Clean and simple accommodations. Friendly and responsive owners. Cottage situated above a five mile long, empty beach along Lake Michigan. Easy access to beach. Long walks at sunrise and especially sunset, highly enjoyable and incredibly tranquil. Definitely recommend!
This TRUE Northern Michigan cottage is a special place. It has everything you need to enjoy your stay. Growing up in Leland and being able to return and find a place to relax and enjoy what is most special about this town and location (LAKE MICHIGAN) is what it is all about. Sunsets are incredible, beach has endless entertainment for kiddos. We can't wait for our return.
Sweet vintage cottage on the shore of Lake Michigan, tucked away in the woods. An easy drive to towns, restaurants, and So. Many. Wineries. But the days spent staying in and relaxing were just as enjoyable.
My husband and I have rented many places over the years and this is one of our very favorites (tied for first with a house on a bay in Maine). We could not have asked for a better experience or better owners. The house itself is pristine. The owners have clearly gone to great lengths and with great love to make it so. It is quiet, peaceful and in a perfect location-- everything we needed was within a 10 minute drive, We spent a few days doing very little and that was also perfect. I would stay here again without hesitation. If you go, one thing to keep in mind: the owners are new and there aren't a lot of spices accumulated there yet, so either plan to go out, buy prepared food, or take everything you need. There was excellent prepared food at the grocery stores in Sutton's Bay and Leland, so it was not a problem at all for us, and we did manage to eat in most nights.
