I would like to complaint aboout the service me and my parner recieved yesterdays at the Sprowston Manor Hotel. We arrived at 2:30 pm but understanding check -in hour was at 3pmwe went to the bar. 3 oclock we did the check in. Ive reserved a double bedroom city view and sent to a hidiouse room at the far back of the hotel. The lobby was full of durty linin but my assigned bedroom had dust everywhere and the toilet bin hadnts been emptied. Weve went back to recepcion and assigned a “better and cleaed room” on the same floor, staring to the air condicionate vents( só much for the city view). Make note i’ve booked this staying to celebrate my parners birthday, with a nice spay day and stay. After we settle in the room, went to spa desk to book some treatments, no one to be seen. 4 oclock, the girls is there but no slots available as they were short staffed and would finish at 6. The heated pool área is shared whit swiming classes, living 2 lanes available for the spa users. When asking a staff where to have a drink near the spa área, was sent to a closed bar. We’ve checked out the property at 6:30, and asked if we could have the breakfast refund? They informed us you Expedia should address this.

An enjoyable stay

The hotel is oldey worldly so as you would expect our room was an economy and we were right up In the eaves, so it was noisy and very warm, pillows and beds not the most comfortable but it was pleasant enough and only a short stay. I would stay again because the family love the golf and the pool, but just need to be more careful selecting rooms.

Mould on tiles in shower surround of bath filthy taps for shower had dirt and mould on them reported to management no action taken stains on carpet in room coffee table had a lot of damage on it writing table stained carpet overall condition of room was. Very poor will never. Stay at this hotel again worse experience I have ever had and I have been staying in hotels 50 years

Don't pay any attention to the negative reviews!

We very much enjoyed our stay, from the friendly and helpful staff, to the comfort of the bedroom, the use of the spa area and the delicious breakfast. Yes the hotel is a little tired but in no way would that spoil the stay there, barely noticeable due to the luxurious Chesterfield sofas and chairs in the bar and foyer area....a perfect place to catch up and relax with friends.

The hotel was excellent and staff wonderful. The only reason for marking a 4 rather than a 5 is the bed and bedding. The "double" bed was just two singles pushed together (although there was a hook on the base for joining them it didn't reach), the bedding was just a thin flat sheet which was too small to remain tucked in around the beds, especially when the single beds moved apart. I found the lack of mattress and pillow protectors very strange for such a nice quality hotel.

Beautiful venue

The venue and setting was beautiful. Facilities were great. Spa and pool were really nice. The menu for food is limited. Our room was tidy and had been cleaned however there were marks on the mirror, walls and shower curtain but the room itself was clean.

The pillows were made of the hardest substance known to man. Receptionist was unfriendly to myself and then nice to other male clients after. Quite odd, I'm sorry she feels the need to behave like this and I hope she gets some help. Room was far too hot, no air-conditioning. Didn't fancy trying the pool. The place was definitely haunted.

The room was not fit for purpose, extremely hot, tiny window which opened to a room. No view. Extra aircon units were in the room which served no purpose! Beds were not made for the next day. Only good thing was the pool, well until a child was sick in the pool and we had to leave which is partially the hotels fault as she was wearing a mermaid costume and could not swim.

Lovely stay at Sprowston Manor Hotel.

Lovely large room and bathroom. The pool/leisure area is very good. Towels were provided but not flipflops so best to take your own if you are using the pool area. Towelling robes are provided in the superior rooms. Breakfast was very good but dinner options are limited and not fine dining but good value. The staff were welcoming and helpful.

Ended up with a room that we could hear noises and sounds from other rooms. When we asked at reception if we could be moved, it was not possible as the hotel was fully booked. A manager rocked up wearing gym shorts to talk to us, looking unprofessional. The restaurant was fully booked and so we could not have any meal. What was meant to have been a relaxing weekend for my hubby and l turned out to be slightly stressful. The female receptionist was literally shouting at the top of her voice during check in. This used to be a well organised hotel, not sure anymore.
