Room clean on arrival. No room cleans as stated but no comp breakfast bag which is detailed in the booklet in the room.
Overall good but a lot of money for room only & no services provided but not a lot of choice in the area & v close to friends so paid for the convenient location
The room was a large family room - a bit too big for one person, but the single bed was clean and comfortable. Plenty of towels and an added bonus of having it's own washhand basin, as the shared shower room (with toilet) was across the corridor. I couldn't use the coffee maker as there were no instructions, and no kettle to boil water. However there were plenty of milk sachets and biscuits!!
The room and facilities were very clean.
Booked here for a trip to Nottingham (as prices in the City itself were prohibitive). Located by rail and tram stops, the Hotel was ideal for my purpose, and an affordable price. Welcoming and frienly staff. Excellent pub food with a great range of local ales on offer. Basic room and facilities suitable for my visit and fairly reflected in the price. I found the bed a little uncomfortable but thats probably just down to personal preferences, so all-in-all an excellent base for my stay.
Stayed in room 3! Radiator did not work. Was freezing all night! Even with the small plug in radiator hardly gave off heat!. the coffee machine spat out crap & not coffee. Also the double bed is broken left hand side by headboard & leg under bed is off!
This is a pub with an incredible range of cask beers (10) mostly from the Lincoln Green Brewery. The 3 I try ed were excellent. The hotel (pub) has a faded grandeur feel and is basic. This suits me down to the ground. They do not do breakfast so we went to Tesco opposite which has a good cafe. The ensuite room was clean and tidy and met our needs well. It is up two flights of stairs though, no lift, and is a rabbit warren. Parking is on street. Overall I liked it but posh it is not.
