We love that you could be out on the deck and the water is 5 feet away at high tide. When it got chilly, we could get the same view from inside through the wall of windows. The sliding barn doors on both sides of the Jack and Jill bathroom were not wide enough to provide coverage of the open doorway, so they did not provide enough privacy when our friends were in the bathroom. That needs to be changed.
We loved this cozy beach house. As you stand at the kitchen island, you feel like you are at the beach's edge. We saw three orcas in the bay on our first night! And the sunset is presented just for you!The only drawback is the bathroom privacy. It is a jack and jill bath off of each room, but the doors are barn doors on a track. Cute, but standing in the shower, I could see my sleeping son's eyes through the gap. If he were to open his eyes, he would have opened them, his eyes would have started bleeding! No sound privacy at night either. That said, we loved it here.
Beautiful views of the water from the wall of windows! Relaxing home after 10 days of travel. House was clean and well kept. Would definitely recommend!
We had the perfect weekend getaway! Maria thought of everything when it came to having the cottage stocked. Everything was clean, check in was easy, and the view speaks for itself. We saw two eagles, seals, and found tons of other sea life during low tide. Youâre only a 10 minute drive away (or DoorDash if thatâs your thing) from restaurants. We were informed that the propane had run out for the last guest and Maria promptly accommodated us to get it taken care of. 1000/10 stay. We will be back!
Communication with Host (Maria) was great. We reported a couple of minor issues and she promptly responded. Location is great. View of the water is amazing. Would definitely recommend this property.
Our stay was great. There were 2 bald eagles that flew by on a regular basis. A seal that would play in the water near the home. Even a bunny that would greet us when we got in the car. The home is perfect for sitting on the deck, watching the ocean, and resetting your soul!
The mesmorizing view on a clear day gives a 180 view of the Olympic Penninsula, Vancouver Island, and Anacortes as well as the ocean traffic. On a foggy morning, grab your book, some music and a cup of coffee and enjoy the solitude. Monitor the tides for an opportunity to walk the sandy beach and explore the driftwood and ocean tumbled rocks. Gorgeous!
The view was amazing, and it was very easy to check in & out. Iâm giving a lower rating for cleanliness because the sheets had stains/holes/sand, and the cabinets were sticky. Marking lower overall because the kitchen was missing some basics for cooking (e.g., a cutting board). Overall it was a nice getaway though, thank you for sharing your home.
This home is built to drink in the view. The water comes up right to the edge of the property. You can walk the beach when the tide is out. The queen bed was very comfortable and that is always highly valued. We were disappointed that the couch was not very comfy, bottom cushions keep slipping forward on you. It would be nice to have an ottoman so you could sit back, put your feet up and enjoy the view. Itâs important to note the stove/oven combo is not full size, which is fine if you are not planning on doing a lot of cooking. It was appropriate for the size of the house. We played a lot of games at the kitchen table that also has an amazing view. We wish the kitchen chairs were more comfy also and that the table, although adorable, was more sturdy. But I have to say, we had a great time and that view was worth it all. The host always gave a quick response also.
Property looks like photos. Ocean view is beautiful. We had one issue which we addressed quickly & property owner followed up with sincere concern & attention to our needs. Loved Whidbey Island! Good location to travel each day to see whole island.
We enjoyed listening to the waves and watching sunsets from the patio that was steps from the water. Quiet location that is close enough to "town" for groceries, restaurants and ferries (for day trips).
The washer/dryer combo was a unique luxury that came in handy.
We hope to visit again sometime.
Such a delightful cottage right on the beach! Listening to the surf and sea birds was amazing. The state park beach was easy to access and enjoy. The sun sets were highlights of each day.
The shower was great! Disappointed in the function of the electric stove top and washer/dryer. A hot pad and cutting board would be nice additions to the kitchen, plus a knife sharpener.
Thank you! We once again fell in awe of Whidbey Island!
Stunning view! We couldn't have asked for a closer beach cottage!
The beach cottage was bright & cheery! The view and proximity to the beach was fantastic!
The neighborhood was quiet. The beach access for us older ones was just a short walk. Our son & fiance were able to climb over the break wall of rocks!
Our stay at this cute cabin on the water was exactly what my family needed. The location was spectacular, the views were endless, and the cozy deck was perfection. We were absolutely blown away by this little cabin and how peaceful the area was. We are already planning on coming back and canât wait to visit again. Thank you so much for the opportunity to stay at this gem!
Beautiful ocean view, walk on beach, sunset. Also close to coupeville and oak harbor for lots of day trip fun too. Deception Pass only 15 minutes away! Great place.
What a beautiful part of the world. The house was just what our family of 4 was looking for. We spent hours walking the beach on the adjacent State Park. A pair of bald eagles visited every evening and a curious harbor seal was lurking about. We didnât want to leave.
Stayed for 2 nights here. This beach cottage is all about the up close totally mesmerizing water views. And long walks on the beach, next to a state park. Enjoyed our stay. Will be thinking about this spot for a long time.
The view was spectacular with the waves lapping the pilings right outside the door. The warm weather required us to keep the doors open to provide cool air flow but a fly swatter would have been useful. We enjoyed walking on the beach when the tide was out and the nearby park provided very relaxing hiking. Two suggestions would include cooking pans that better fit the small stove and drop down shades to mitigate the direct sun off the water. Altogether a very enjoyable stay.
We stayed two nights in July and loved it! The house is cute and clean and has everything you need for a relaxing weekend away. The ocean literally comes right up to the back porch and the porch faces the sunset every night. Sitting and watching the waves was so relaxing. It was also a short drive from Fort Casey, Langley, and some other fun day trip destinations. Would stay again in a heartbeat!
