The view from the rear deck is the real selling point for this property. During the day there is a nice view of the beach, as can be seen in the photos for the property. At night You can see the channel markers leading the way into the port in Wilmington and occasionally a ship or large boat passing through them. In most rental properties you can find a notebook with information describing how to operate the HVAC system, kitchen appliances, the television and WiFi codes. We never found one. While the stove and refrigerator appear to be new, without an instruction sheet it was difficult to know what setting the dishwasher was on since several of the indicator lights werenât working. Despite having twice called Coastal Vacation Resorts (property management) leaving a message with questions about the property, we never got a call back from them. The mattress in the master bedroom is worn out and sags toward the middle of the bed. The toilet seat in the master bedroom is held together with white duct tape. Although this property is advertised as never been rented, there is some wear and tear that could easily be fixed, which makes me question the benefit of renting through VRBO and paying their fee. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, knives and dishes. Overall, the unit was clean and the furniture arrangement matched the photographs. We only found a couple of really dirty dishes and utensils, which happens sometimes with rentals. The property is convenient to OKI municipal pier, grocery stores, and seafood markets.
