The house was advertised as a beautiful modern house, but the listing doesnât accurately represent the reality. The stairs we saw in the listing are not the ones we encountered. They resemble basement stairs, and the entrance is dreary. The furniture in the downstairs is severely worn out.The main reason we chose this house was the presence of a bedroom on the first floor that would be perfect for my 80-year-old mom. However, the bed is essentially a pull-out with a flimsy mattress. We had to live out of suitcases in three of the five rooms because there wasnât enough space to unpack. The main floor bedroom has a set of open metal shelves, while the master bedroom has a set of cubby holes in the closest. In one of the back bedrooms, thereâs absolutely no storage. Donât forget to bring hangars because there are none.On the bright side, the kitchen and bathrooms seem to have been upgraded and have good storage. The backyard is beautiful, and they provide great amenities for the beach. However, I cleaned the floors when we arrived because I felt dirt on my feet.Maybe we set unrealistic expectations because the inside of the house seemed very dreary, and the furniture was worn out. We were grateful to be able to bring two of our dogs, but we couldnât let them go outside in the backyard because itâs made of stones and has a beautiful pool. We also encountered a bug alive in one of the kitchen drawers.Overall, we paid over 7000 for the location and the nice backyard.
We had a wonderful time at this home! Our group consisted of 2 adults and 6 teens. The location in proximity to the beach, skate park, farmers market, basketball was absolutely ideal!
Being close to the ocean is rehabilitating, which is why I entitled this review âRehab at Seahab.â The only category I didnât give Seahab 5 stars was âaccuracy of on-line listingâ because it is advertised as having ocean views, which it really doesnât have. It is an easy 5 min. walk to the ocean, though, and there is a good playground and splash pad close by that was fun for our 4 grandblessings, as was the private pool - a big plus. The hosts at Salt & Sand Realty were polite, accommodating, and helpful. The beach itself was lovely, and not as crowded as Myrtle Beach or Hilton Head, where weâve vacationed in years past.
Several things wrong- downstairs bed frame bent so scared to use in case it would break- so one bedroom useless! Kitchen drawer for trash cans was nasty dirty as well as the two cans, washing machine dripped water on floor, master bed was too high and only had one step stool to use and mattress dipped into the middle with both of us on it, other beds had mattress pads that were plastic and caused noise every time you moved and made you sweat! Upstairs bathroom had a beautiful tub but it is not level and rocked getting in and out! Pool water felt like it was filled with ice the water was so cold every day! Could not get into garage door to use! Way too many stairs for elderly!
An amazing family reunion. First time in more than a decade.
We loved the house. It was in a perfect location. Near the beach. Restaurants and grocery store within walking distance.
The swimming pool was very nice and very clean.
We made some great memories there.
Seahab has the potential to be a 5 star+ rental.
The good: great location- convenient to beach, the park (splash pad, skate park, Farmerâs market and music on Friday nights) grocery stores and restaurants, has a nice pool, is pet friendly and has a garage. Beach chairs, wagon, boogie boards and board games available. Great pool and floats provided.
The bad: whoever cleaned this house needs some direction. The floors were not cleaned except in the middle of the rooms. The refrigerator was nasty and the hvac filter hasnât been cleaned in a while. There was mold in the shower on the first floor and the shower door needs attention. The grill had leaked grease onto the concrete floor near the pool. There was food underneath all the sectional sofa cushions which is attracting roaches.
The house is advertised as 5 bedrooms, but the âbedroom â on the main floor is a sleeper sofa. This room is obviously a bedroom but I donât know why anyone would want a sofa in this room. It should be removed and a double or queen bed should replace the uncomfortable sleeper. The queen bed on the upper level is metal and makes so much noise when you turn over that it wakes up your sleeping partner. The pool was hazy and no one came by to check the water quality. We had to buy a pot to boil 3lbs of shrimp ( kitchen needs better pots and pans).
Again, we really liked this house and with some attention it would be a great rental. Will not return unless upgrades are made.
Great rental, super clean, extremely close to the beach!!
Loved the vacation house, it put our mind at ease, was able to relax, & enjoy the sun âïž.
All the things you would need Grocery store, Restaurants, Ice cream, candy store, shopping all within a few blocks!
It was a beautiful home as well. We loved the kitchen & it was beautiful set up, for the little cooking we did do.
Would definitely recommend & will return.
Location was was within walking distance to multiple restaurants, grocery store and wonderful donut shop! Plenty of room for our 5 adults and 2 children. Pool was a great hit as well as the pool table. There are a lot of steps if that is an issue for anyone. Couple things missing that were listed in description - beach chairs, but thankfully we brought our own- and comfy wicker furniture on porch. Would suggest an upgrade/replacement of pots and pans for those who do like to do some cooking. Sizes did not accomodate cooking for a larger crowd. All in all Seahab was a very nice rental and definitely would recommend renting and hope to be back again.
