Staff is great, the motel is old and outdated, old pillows and blankets and the A/C was falling apart: very noisy and not working very well. We got a room with a beautiful view of the Embarcadero that really helped with our stay.Thank you

Never in my life had a check-in done at side window, like those seen at banks or drive-through pharmacies, barely able to communicate with the receptionist and 3 trips back and forth because the room door would not open. When finally the receptionist sent someone with us to the room to see why the door would not open, the staff guy showed us how to smash hard the handle with your fist, like a hammer, to actually open it. Then he was very rude, acusing us that we should have done a better job checking the door before claiming that is not opening. Although the room was clean, it smelled badly of smoke and Marijuana. The cigarette smell got into our coats and I smeled the stenched in our car, the entire drive back home. The mattress was so bad that I reached the flatbed when I sat on it, and I am only 140 lb. It was only one night stay to avoid driving at night in the rain after a late night event. You get what you pay for. I would never choose to stay at a Motel 6 again, unless I am really forced to do so.
