All staff were very friendly and helpful. Exterior of building needs some attention: some patching and paint and some new windows would improve curb appeal. Excellent location and harbour views.

Well located property with friendly supportive staff. When the listing states 'on-site parking' it should go on to state - for up to 5 vehicles. That said, the marina car park over the road is free 1800-0900 so public parking is not a major inconvenience.

Our twin room was quite small, but,clean and adequate. The hotel is centrally located, everything is within walking distance. The patio overlooks the harbour and is lovely to watch the sunsetting. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. I will certainly return.

Lovely hotel

We didn’t eat on the hotel as we only wanted a light breakfast and £15 each was too expensive for toast and coffee. The room was lovely and clean and we slept well. The staff were very helpful when we were blocked in on the car park.

Great hotel for the price

Dont be put off by the 1970s front of this hotel it is fantastic, location is everything for this hotel. on arrival we were checked in without any issues,found our room although on the small side it was was we booked, superking bed was clean the room in general was spotless (28) and we had a seaview. Bathroom was clean, all in all a great hotel. Only problem we had was our window wouldn't open and parking was a bit of an issue.

The carpets were very dirty. There is absolutely no noise deadening material between floors or rooms. The room we were in had an original window in the bathroom that would not close (noise, cold air). The shower was just bad... Even after staff showed us how to get the water to stay on, we could not replicate the process.

It was a poor experience, from the inability to use the TV (actually said no signal), to the windows not opening when very warm and the cold coffee from an insipid large boiler at breakfast that didn’t work. Property was nice for what we paid, very convient location in oban and oban itself was lovely. Breakfast room and breakfast was delicious although a little pricey, but was a good feed. Room was clean and spacious. Only issue was parking had booked hotel as it stated parking available, unfortunately there was only 3/4 space then rest was public paid parking and was very limited as oban itself was very busy, if arriving later in the day this could have been a really issue. Bar also closed quite early which was a shame would have liked to sit and had a drink into the evening longer.

On the positive side the receptionist Ramona was remarkable. The location was very good and the beds were comfortable. However, the hotel had been poorly refurbished, with some parts really old and others badly updated; there were 16 steps to access the front door; the shower was so small you could hardly turn around in it. The decor was particularly unattractive with several different styles that did not meld together. Would not book again.

Clean comfy bed ,clean modernised bathroom.Draughty as windows in dire need of refurb. Windows really dirty, but fabulous views if you can see beyond this.Fire doors wedged open at times ! Breakfast, pretty dire, coffee undrinkable. Very old hotel in fantastic position looking over beautiful Oban bay,however cheaply refurbished, could be fantastic with a little more attention to detail.

Food poisoning for all in my company. Food overall really poor quality, No service in dining room to acknowledge it. The least you can expect from a restaurant by the sea is a good filé of fish when order fish and chips. Not some cheap thing with a LOT of bones in it. Check in and check out went well with friendly staff.

A lovely stay in Oban, staff were pleasant and helpful, the bed was very comfortable , it is acknowledged the hotel is going through a refurbishment and will be excellent once this is complete. Location is great with easy walk to the town centre.

The hotel was on a great location for dining options! Don’t expect to get parking at the front of the hotel they literally have 4 spaces! Noticably tight with toilet paper only leaving the roll on the dispenser and no spare! Also water in the room on arrival but not refreshed we were there for 3 nights!
