Had a few concerns at first with a couple spots missed by housekeeping. Notified customer service, a report was filed immediately though after office hours. The next morning housekeeping contacted me and handled my concerns with courtesy and professionalism. The rest of the stay was lovely and quiet. We definitely wish we could have stayed longer
The onsite contact person Crystal was very friendly and touched base to see how we were doing. She really cared about our experience and that meant a lot to us.
The unit/cottage was cute and reflected the age of the area. The cottage was a one bedroom with a bath and a kitchen nook. There wasnât much room for the wife and myself with just a few items of our own.
The cottage was well located near small restaurants and a big hardware/grocery store
We had a great stay at the Happy as a clam cottages. The cottage was very nice and clean. Being able to eat a few meals in using the full kitchen, BBQ was a plus. The location was perfect for our interests (it is very close to 2 very fine oyster farms/restaurants, several state parks, and a short drive to both the bay and oceanside of the peninsula. We would highly recommend.
The bed sheets had not been changed, had been slept on and sand in the bed. They took care of that the next day. The driveway into the area had very deep mud holes. So much mud! We will not be staying there again.
There was a dog/dirty sock smell as soon as we walked in. Areas were obviously not cleaned, such as around the toilet area and the hide-a-bed (which had sand in it). There were not enough towels or wash cloths and very minimal supplies in the kitchen. Luckily we were doing most meals at our familyâs property down the road. The bed was comfortable, and it was an affordable place to sleep at night. That was about it.
