We had a great stay overallâgiving 4 stars for a few reasons. The 180 ocean view was magnificent. Listening to the waves crash was heavenly. We loved the privacy of being in Unit B. The decor was on-theme, with quality, solid furnishings and lots of seating. The kitchen was well-stocked (pots, pans, seasonings, foil, etc.). The gas stove was brand new, the fridge was a great size, and the patio electric grill worked perfectly. Beds were comfortable and the space worked well for our group of 6â7.Now, why 4 stars: the master shower has visible black mildew, and the jetted tub is outdated and yellowing. Kitchen counters are peeling, the sink is old, very small, and was barely draining when we arrived. A plumber fixed it, but still inconvenient. The window ledges also show water damage.Unexpected visits were frustrating: the door handle in the master was broken and had to be fixed; an internet tech came; then an unannounced patio inspector arrived. I had to confirm he was legitâhe mentioned the owner lives across the driveway and she confirmed & said I should have been made aware of the inspection. Later, the property manager let herself in without knocking while my pregnant daughter-in-law was nappingâunacceptable. The patio also has a live motion camera, which felt intrusive.The view is a 10, and staff responded quickly. The stay was still lovely and the value fair, but with a few updates and better communication, this could easily be a 5-star rental.
