Friendly service with a quick check in. The hotel is new and modern. They have a small pool on site as well as an adequate gym. The free provided breakfast was a great addition. The rooms were a little bit on the small side, but were very clean and modern. Air conditioning worked great. Beds were comfortable. Lots of outlets and plug ins. Minimal noise from the hallways and neighboring rooms. Our room was never cleaned, but I believe they were short on housekeeping staff. I was able to get fresh towels and toilet paper through the front desk. There are several fast food options, gas stations and a Walmart within a two minute walk, however, the overall area is limited in activities. Most of the food options nearby are mediocre in terms of quality. We stayed here for some time at Lake McConaughy, which is about a 20 minute drive.

A few hiccups but very nice hotel overall

The first room assigned to us was the wrong room. It was soon fixed once I noticed that I couldn't get onto the wifi and the welcome sign on the TV was not in my name. No apology just come get your new room key from reception. We were grateful to book in earlier than 3pm though, it was raining so it was nice to get into our room earlier The next morning's breakfast was a bit of a disappointment as very few healthy food options. The tables were dirty and no staff seen to be looking after the room. The room was lovely, spacious and clean. Noisy overnight but it was 4th July so... I didn't think it was value for money really.

Perfection. The entire staff went above and beyond to ask if I needed anything and to show me the amenities. They were helpful and full of information. They were very kind and professional. The property and room were very clean and, seemingly, brand new. The breakfast was delicious with the perfect variety of foods. I stay at many hotels; this hotel is exactly what I would hope for no matter where I stay. I will stay here anytime I am in the area.

The room and hotel were fine (except for the dismal shower pressure that many of the guests were commenting on) but the daytime desk staff were terrible. After an early morning departure, I discovered they had charged an additional $131 to my credit card, requested by them to cover incidentals. We had no incidental charges, and I had pre-paid for the room through Expedia. The desk staff claimed Expedia had a problem sending the Hampton our payment, so they were charging my card (not the price of the room, btw, which was actually about $70 higher than the duplicate charge) until I resolved it with Expedia. When I said the hotel needed to work that out with Expedia, they said they had no phone number to call them for resolution. It took several days and a negative comment on my Expedia account to resolve the overage charged by the hotel. NOT a great way to do business, Hampton. Will think twice before staying there again.

It was great! Everything was clean. The pool was fun and the waffles and coffee were great! so we were well rested and ready to get on the road again the next morning. The staff was pleasant as well!

Had all of the attributes of a Hampton Inn; but a bit rough at the edges. Breakfast was mediocre, unorganized, and understaffed. Front desk was not quite as welcoming as we have become accustomed to. And we had to ask at the desk for a complimentsry bottle of water. Good property; but needs a little attention and staffing.
