The buffet for both Dinner and breakfast is nice. My family enjoyed the prawns for steaming at our table. And also we could grill our food at out table for breakfast. Interesting and very fresh.
Lovely lobby, but the rooms are quite old and worn. The Japanese style room was nice, but a bit tired. The primary issue was that the staff REFUSED to store our luggage for a couple hours upon checkout. This is the only hotel in Japan where Iâve had this happen, no other has ever had an issue (even the cheap ones), and Iâve stayed in a lot of hotels here. They werenât busy (hotel was mostly empty) we speak (passable) Japanese, and it was only for a couple hours until our ferry left. For almost $300 a night, this is unacceptable.
FYI the is Hotel Fugetsu. The taxi at the station took a while to figure out when I showed them the name of the hotel.
The senior check in staff was not helpful when we tried to book 2 taxis to Umi Jigoku hot spring. It was a 20 minutes walk uphill and 2 of our group were unable to walk that distance. They claimed the taxis would not take us due to the short distance.
Also they were going to charged us extra for exchange of wet towels.
