overall we had a pleasant stay with a gorgeous view of tbe gulf.a few items need attention. the tile on balcony is missing a piece and another is rising upwards. a guide for the tv and components operation would be helpful..too many remotes...towel rack loose in the bathroom.

College rental not a vacation home

Kitchen was good new appliances everything worked well. Light was out over stove and in the freezer section. The floors were ingrained dirtyThe grout was black, and you could see dirt in the tiles themselves. Not a good impression when you walk in in the first door UC has been punched with a hole. Probably the worst part was the fact that there was mildew, I hope it was Mildew not moldAround the HC ventsPeriod. Someone should inspect this property before it’s listed as a vacation rental. Absolutely no complaints about the sheets or beds they were spotless. The towels were nice and fluffy

Owner Neglect

Our stay was great outside the unit. The view, location, reservation and booking process, guest services, all A+. Vacasa is awesome. The unit is underwhelming, outdated and uninviting. As you step off the elevator you're greeted by a rusty, dingy, beat up front door with a metal plate over where the deadbolt. Not what you expect when you first see the place where you've been waiting to stay. The primary bedroom door has a hole in it. The ceiling fan in the living room is warped. There's one floor lamp in the den and it looks like it's unable to stand on its own. The sliding glass door lock was broken and the door was almost impossible to open. There wasn't a plug covering the drain in the bathtub. The recliner has visible pink stains all over it. It is smeared on the inside, arms, back, sides. We refused to sit on it. All part of the impression upon arrival! We were very disappointed. But Vacasa had the sliding glass door lock replaced, the door working and a drain cover/plug within 24 hours. Prior to communicating with Vacasa we were looking for other properties. The owners of this property need to take inventory of kitchen and restock. Updates are necessary for lighting, balcony table and chairs, and ceiling fans. Fix the hole in the door and replace the front door or have it painted. The bed is comfortable and the water pressure in the shower is great. There are much better units around OBA for the price.

Overall the condo was as described. It was a bit rough and could use some repairs (broken luggage rack, cracked bedroom door, rusted front door,etc). The biggest disappointment was the lack of supplies. We had a total of 2 forks and 3 spoons, no pot holders, 1 kitchen towel, no cookie sheets, etc. Other than that, beautiful view!

Cozy Condo but leak poorly handled through Vacasa

The condo itself was clean when we arrived. Family of five with a baby and two under 6. It was a perfect fit but a little tight with all the extra kid stuff we needed. Although I booked this through VRBO, all management was then diverted to Vacasa. This is not advertised anywhere in advance. The problem we ran into was there was a leak and we notified Vacasa the first morning we were there as a puddle of water that appeared never went away. They were quick to check it out and take action. The Manager said he would reach out to vacasa about what could be done and no follow up. Contractors were in and out without any notice of when. Especially great when they were there during lunch and nap time. If we had been given notice we could have made alternative plans. Baby kept waking up from doors opening and slamming. Contractors did not properly clean up after replacing the ac unit leaving bits of copper wire and debris on the ground that I found in the baby’s hand. Humidifiers ran 24/7 the rest of our stay as well. Making everything even louder in a small place. The place became extremely cramped with up to 3 contractors at a time. I had to continually follow up for any return on the inconvenience. There was no care about it during our stay and they only said they would take care of it after. 2 weeks later they said 10% reimbursement. I pushed back and they will not give. Whatever you do - do not let your booking go through Vacasa. Poor, poor management of the situation!!

Great stay! Looked like the pics!

This was a very roomy condo for just the 2 of us! Great view & easy access to the gorgeous beach below!! It looked pretty much like the photos! Loved how the full moon rose over the ocean while we were there. (June ‘24). We also could catch a glimpse of the sunrise and sunset on either end of the beach from the balcony. (best view is from the beach though!!) The AC worked really well. So nice that we could adjust it to our liking. When we were gone for the day, we didn’t keep it as cool—to save energy. There were nice ceiling fans in the LR and bedroom to keep the air circulating as well. Bed was standard
we slept well. Nice kitchen amenities: ss stove & fridge, newer microwave. We didn’t cook at all tho
so we can’t speak to the pots and pans. There were some missing silverware (only about 3 forks?) but enough for us. Lots of plates & coffee cups though! Overall, it was a great place for us! It probably could use a deep cleaning, but it was clean in general. My husband liked that it was right off of the elevators so we didn’t have to walk far to our room. (we were high enough that we wouldn’t use the stairs.) We didn’t use the pool. One more thing: don’t get scared away by the door to the condo (which could use a coat or two of paint)

Disappointing

I wish this could be a better review but we ran into several issues throughout our stay. To start, there was a water leak from a unit upstairs but we were not notified. When we walked into the condo, there was a loud fan and humidifier running. When I reached out to understand what was happening with our unit, no one followed up with me. Then, we had not one, but two maintenance men walk into the unit unannounced while we were showering. No one made us aware anyone was even coming to the unit, but they had the passcode and let themselves in. When I reached out to VRBO and Vacasa about this issue, no one followed up with me, yet again. The beds had no blankets, all of the dishes were dirty and we had to hand wash them before use. The tv barely worked, the laundry door was broken. There was one roll of toilet paper, one roll of paper towels, no dish detergent, two trash bags. The washer and dryer barely worked. The customer service we received cannot even be reviewed as I heard back from no one about our issues. We finally had to decide to enjoy what we could of our vacation as opposed to staying on hold with representatives who couldn’t get us any answers. This stay was very disappointing. The only positives of this stay was the location and easy beach access, the unit was not something I would recommend.

Good place to stay for a quick getaway

It is a nice place to stay if you are looking for a quick getaway trip for a couple or a small family. The condo has a nice view of the beach and a nice size pool to enjoy. There are only a few things that I would advise on is if you are cold natured then you might want to bring a blanket. The beds and pull out couch only has a flat sheet and a thin comforter. Also if you have small kids you might want to get paper/plastic cups and plates. I was nervous my kids was going to break what was there before we left. Also there is not a stopper for the bathtub so we had to improvised one to give our kids a bath. But overall a good stay!

Overall we enjoyed our stay in this unit. Great view, reasonable price and a safe place to rest at night. I would give it 3 out of 5 stars. The unit itself really needs some TLC. Seems like it hasn’t been taken care of in a while but ultimately we had the basics we needed. It is definitely overdue for some painting, cleaning of the vents, new lightbulbs and a deep cleaning. The remote for the TV in the living room didn’t work so we couldn’t adjust the volume. The kitchen is sparse so bring your own equipment if you plan on cooking. We also brought our own Keurig. We did report the TV remote not working however that was not addressed during our stay. Initially the door code sent to access the unit was incorrect, so that was frustrating as we arrived at 8pm with 3 tired little kids and couldn’t get in. There also was not a parking pass for us in the unit. We also had to reach out for the weigh room code that was not included. Despite the unit needing some love, I have to say that outside of the unit everything about the building is really well kept up with. All of the common areas, new elevators, bathrooms, beach walkway and pool areas are super clean, updated and maintained regularly. We felt very safe and looked after by the impressive management team at the building. You constantly saw them walking around cleaning and checking on things throughout the building, loved that! Location is great! Easy walk across the street for donuts, ice cream, booze and The Shrimp Bucket.

Perfect for a little beach getaway!

Condo was just as advertised. Nice view of the beach where we had coffee and watched dolphins each morning and the boardwalk to the beach was so nice!
