Beach Trip 2025

We loved the location and distance to get to the beach. We liked the set up of the condo and the view from the balcony. The breaker blowing every night around 10:56 and off and on during the day was a slight problem. Not being able to wash clothes and towels was an inconvenience. The staff was very good about getting issues looked at and bringing us clean towels to use. We did appreciate that. Looking forward to coming back next summer. Thanks for everything!

Great location right on the beach. The condo is large and comfortable for a family of 6. Close to restaurants and shopping, but on a quieter part of the beach which makes it nice. We will return.

Choose the wrong week

Love the location and the 3 bathrooms, but couches are dirty, unit needs some repainting and repair of doors, baseboards, and dryer could stand to be replaced. Worst was that construction was going on and our view was of plastic wrapped balcony railings. Had to stand up to see the ocean! For that I put the blame on the listing company not the owners. The company should know what is going on with the properties they handle. Availability should have been blocked. We did receive a two night refund, but would have been happier with the offer of another condo that was not being worked on.

Great Stay

The property was as described, good location, quiet, beach was not overly busy. The space was good and clean, bathrooms are a little dated and could be updated. View from the balcony was great for watching the ocean and beach.

Love WindDrift

Our 5th year back and another memorable vacation at Orange Beach. The Wind Drift condos are great and this one didn’t disappoint. Highly recommend for anyone.

Great view and location needs work

The condo was OK. The layout was nice the view and location was great. However, the place really needs some work. Faucets leaked, and didn’t work well. Especially in the master bath. Main bath tub doesn’t drain well. You’re ankle deep in water by the time the shower is over. Kitchen sink faucet need work. It’s hard to turn off. It’s mostly old and tired looking and needs to reinvestment. Also having to go buy my own toilet paper is really a turn off. One spare roll in each bathroom would be nice.

Great location

Great location! We love staying at Winddrift. This condo definitely needs upgrades. The shower in the master is still leaking, you can hear the water pipes all night long from people flushing or running water. A paint job would do this condo wonders. We were able to look past the cosmetic flaws though and enjoyed our stay. The condo is very convenient to surrounding restaurants and entertainment. We had no trouble with parking. I would recommend this condo if you can look past a few cosmetic flaws and get past the sound of dripping water in the master.

Rough around the edges

This property was clean. The beds were moderately comfortable. The couches were comfortable. However, there was mold on the shower curtain, mold growing on the ceiling, missing baseboards, peeling paint, poor paint jobs, and shoddy work all around-closet doors off the rails, upside down drawers and missing stick pulls on the door blinds. Not a horrible place to stay, but if you’re looking for “super nice” keep looking.

Good location but run down

Positives: nice couches, kitchen very well stocked, good water pressure in shower, nice balcony Negatives: beds noisy and broken, loud constantly leaking faucets, rental company charges for 2nd parking spot even though condo has 2 spaces per the owners association, furniture is all old (except couches and bar stools) wicker and rickety. Would not stay in this unit again.

I love the location

I love the location, just over bridge away from most of the beach traffic. Parking lot is very limited and difficult to have room for my truck to park at times. Kitchen was roomy and well stocked. Mattresses and couches are in need of replacing but not totally worn out. Twin beds did not have flat sheets, just comforter. Each bedroom (3) had direct access to a bathroom, that was great for all of us. I would stay here again! It was clean and communication was easy.

Older condo with a good location

Our overall stay was very nice. The view of the beach from the LR/kitchen is beautiful! It was spacious enough for our family of 7. It is an older condo is definitely in need of some repairs. Most issues could be overlooked for a short stay IF you are not fussy. However, something that needs to be corrected ASAP is that in two of the three showers, it was extremely difficult to turn off the water and to control the water temperature. The condo was generally clean with the exception of the shower liners which were covered in mildew and should have been replaced prior to our arrival.

Beautiful!

Plenty of room for our extended family group! The view was beautiful and this area of the beach is not crowded. State park right next door. The property managers at Wind Drift were extra helpful! Would recommend!!! The only issue was a leaky shower in the master bathroom. Liquid Life informed us they would send someone to fix on the first day and it was never resolved. Other than that, wonderful place!

Horrible.

I booked this property through vrbo. Our checkin was put off by 4 hours. No parking passes so I had to call 4 times to get 2. They charged me $40 for one parking pass. There was no parking available. They had the parking lot fenced off for contractors. The condo was dirty. Do not stay here. I was also charged twice for a parking pass which still hasn't been refunded. We couldn't use the pool because it was locked as well..

Not a good trip

Condo smelled very musty. Master Bathroom was not cleaned. Exterior entrance dood was looked like it hat been broken in to once and was not secure. Then the hurricane. And there was no emergency lights in stairs or Inside of condo. No back up generators. The retaining wall around the perimeter only keep water inside of the parking lot.
