Bit of a disappointment

When we first checked in, we were so excited. House was beautiful! There were a few things that were out of sorts. There was a big hole in the screened pool area, bugs kept getting in. One of the chairs had a hole in the seat. There was a very noticeable black stain on one of the bedroom carpets. No pot holders. The pots and pans were either too worn or not big enough for our whole party. The storage containers were all cracked so we couldn’t store our leftovers. The washer and dryer wouldn’t work. The worst part was the management and response time. We were there for 5days/6nights and had no washer/dryer nor the time to take our items to the laundromat. We were on vacation and here for a cheer competition and didn’t want to spend time washing/drying/sitting in a laundromat. We spent over 2000 on this house and didn’t have everything it listed and felt like we had been mislead and when brought to their attention, it seemed like they didn’t care and were not going to reimburse us for the lack of items that sold us in renting the house in the first place. It took them 2 days to respond at one time and didn’t seem too worried about what was listed that was wrong, they offered to bring things to replace and never brought them. We had to go out and purchase the pot holders (Which we left) and pots and pans (which we took with us) just so we could cook for our party of 10. Of course we didn’t let it ruin our vacation, we made the most of it.

Beautiful Home

Our 9 night stay as a family was fantastic! We are a group of 6 adults and 3 kids ranging in age from 10-14. The feature we loved most was the set up of this home with the three master suites and the spaciousness of all the rooms. Pool and hot tub were great and worked flawlessly. We spent a fair amount of time at the resort pool as well, which we all enjoyed. The only items we were really missing and could have used more of were towels and just extra blankets. Absolutely zero issues with host, house (which was immaculately clean), etc. Overall, easily 5 stars!

Beautiful home located in gated resort of Solterra. Beautifully decorated and well kept. Lots extras supplied in the home. Checking in and out was simple. Great communication with the host. Would stay again.

Very nice!

The en-suite bedrooms were just what we needed for privacy during our girl’s trip . Most of the furniture was very comfortable and we loved the kitchen extras, especially the Keurig and k-cups! Our only cons were that the mattresses should be turned occasional for comfort and the water only got warm. Otherwise, this house was perfect for our needs!

A bit disappointed

My family and I travel a good bit. We have always used VRBO for our stays. This rental was not what we are used to. The home itself is very spacious and has great potential. But it needs some work. Let me first say that I manage vacation rentals for a living so I do have very high standards.. This rental desperately needs new flooring upstairs. It is very worn out. The first night we were there, the kitchen sink did not work nor did the dishwasher. The water to the sink was turned off. We notified the managers and never got a response. Thankfully my husband is a maintenance supervisor and was able to turn the water back on. Many of the blankets and linens in this rental are stained. And need to be relaced. The cleanliness of this place was not up to par. It needs a good deep clean. The advertising on this rental is misleading. There is, indeed a hot tub, but you have to pay extra to have it heated. So it should advertise as hot tub optional not WITH hot tub. From what I understand the owner does not manage the rental. I would be lookign for new managers.. Lim

A very cozy home

We travel to Orlando every other year and I can say it has been the most coziest yet spacious home that we’ve stayed in. Neighborhood is quiet and beautiful. The pool and hot tub was great! Our host Dr Michael was super friendly and communicated with us through the whole process and time we spent there. 10/10 will be coming back

Family visit

The house was very nice as pictured and laid out perfectly for our group of 5 kids and 6 adults. Every bedroom had its own bathroom which was fabulous. We were able to be under one room but still had our own private areas when desired. Plenty of towels and dishes for everyone. Pool area was great and set up nicely for little ones with a safety gate on back patio between the outside table and pool. Michael was a great host, responded quickly, and was friendly.

nice pool area

Our family of 5 enjoyed our 9-day stay at Solterra Resort. We mainly spent our time outside in the pool area and really liked it. The house is located in a nice neighbourhood and is close to Disny Parks, Universal Resort and several grocery stores. No complaints :)

Broken & Inconvenient

Upon arriving and checking the guest book and the guest email for the WiFi password, it was wrong, so I had to move the living tv stand and get the correct wifi and password from the modem directly as well as contact the owner who failed to relay that they had a new WiFi modem. We paid an extra $275 to have the pool and spa heated, just to not be able to use the hot tub at all throughout the duration of our week stay. They told me to do this/that to see if it’ll work, which nothing did. I asked for a refund and the owner told me the management will take care of it, management told me the owner will take care it, so a great level of inconsistency there. I’ll keep you posted on that. The ice machine stopped dispensing, the water dispenser constantly leaked onto the floor, we couldn’t wash any clothes or towels due to the washer not finishing its cycle and stopping at rinse. At least management did come by and offer to grab our clothes and take them to wash them, fold them and bring them back, so I do appreciate that. They said a new washer would be there the day after we left, so hopefully that goes through for the next people that stay. I contacted the owner Wednesday (todays Sunday) about my refund, sent him 4+ message and he still has yet to reach back out, even though he was messaging me consistently during our first couple nights stay. Great level of a lack of professionalism there and common courtesy. Overall, yes we had a good time, but proceed with caution when booking.

Beautiful, spacious

We stayed for a family vacation with 6 adults and 3 kids. There was more than enough room for us to spread out! Beautiful home in gated community! The pool areas backs up to a small lake, it was so quiet and peaceful. Game room was a plus for the kids. Host was very accommodating, checked in during our stay. I would highly recommend this property for a visit near Orlando.
