The property itself has potential to be 5 stars. It’s a nicely laid out home, the personal pool, and community pool were great. The kitchen is spacious and the rooms were nice size. The kids rooms were cute and added to
The excitement of the Disney world trip.
Communication with the hosts was minimal. I reached out a few days before for check in info and was very blatantly told it had been emailed about 8 months prior… they did resend it upon request because I was unable to find any info in my inbox. We paid $300 plus extra for the pool to be heated. It was not when we got there and was in the mid 60s. Thankfully they did give us the lock box code to the pool equipment as my husband does that for a living- had he not it would have been even more disappointing. We were sad that we couldn’t let our kids jump right in after a very long travel day as it took over 24 hrs to get to a comfortable temp.
The main living sofa and throw pillows reeked of urine. It was so bad that we covered the sofa with a sheet and really didn’t use it. When I went looking for a clean sheet in the drawers one was wet like it wasn’t finished drying, but it had been folded for use anyway- which was frustrating. Beyond that, the master bedroom mattress was really terrible. It was brutal to lay on that after a long day at the parks and roll to the side of the bed because of how indented it was. We’ve slept on some pretty horrible mattresses in our travels, but that one took the cake. We left a day early, largely in part to a huge lack of sleep.
The house is listed as being 10 mins from Disney. It’s definitely 20-30 mins depending on the park without traffic.
This could have easily been a 4 star review if there had been any attempt of some service recovery. I think that if a little love is put back into the home and communication improved, the rental would be fantastic.
