The entirety of our stay was absolutely amazing we loved the amenities provided as well as the location of the property!!One thing we did have to deal with was a small spider infestation! Coming from the stove! But overall it was amazin!
House was very dirty and had mold on the vents, walls and kitchen. There was a very strong smell once we entered the house. Within 20 minutes of arriving, my son started to have issues with his breathing. We immediately called Alan (host). Left a message and then also left a message on the VRBO app. Uploaded multiple photos.Host offered stated he would get independent testing to confirm the mold. Stated he would refund our money if the test came back positive. We could not stay there and informed him that due to the unsafe condition of the house, we were leaving and requested a full refund. He stated he would keep up posted on the results.
It took us over an hour to get into the house. The keyless entry didnât work. The beds had hair in the sheets. There was McDonalds trash underneath the master bedroom bed. The carpet was disgusting. But the worst part about our stay was that the sliding glass back door did not lock. We did not get any help from VRBO and the host kept making excuses for all the problems. By 8:45 pm the host still had not come up with a solution for the back door problem so we had to leave and find a hotel room. The host did not reach back out to me until the next day in the afternoon. And now he refuses to reimburse us for the cost of the stay which we didnât spend one night there.
