My husband and I had a wonderful stay at The Little Elk Cabin in Packwood, Washington. The property was exactly as described, and we found it to be the perfect retreat after a day of exploring Mount Rainier.
The cabin is nestled in a quiet neighborhood, which made for peaceful mornings and restful evenings. The hot tub was a fantastic bonus, perfect for relaxing and soaking in the serene surroundings after a long hike. The small bathroom, as noted in the listing, was not an issue for us and was more than adequate for our needs. Additionally, the washer and dryer were a great bonus, allowing us to pack lighter and refresh our gear after a day out.
If you plan on cooking and traveling from Seattle, we highly recommend grabbing groceries at the QFC in Enumclaw, WA There’s an IGA in Packwood, but the selection is small and a few restaurants nearby as well. We visited Packwood Brewing Co., which is not to be missed—great food, excellent beer, live music, and friendly people.
The cabin’s location, close to the Paradise entrance of Mount Rainier, made our daily adventures easy and accessible. The hosts were communicative and ensured that we had everything we needed for a great stay. We highly recommend this cabin for anyone looking for a serene and well-located getaway!
