Older property. The mattress was hard to sleep on. To soft and you would sink when laying down. The lady at the front desk was not very friendly when we requested more towels. She didn’t even acknowledge us when we asked kindly for new towels. Housekeeping started vacuuming nearby rooms at 8:30 am!!! Free breakfast was so basic with no coffee available!!!

There was no hand soap in the bathroom, no wash cloths provided. The ceiling in the bathroom started leaking and a huge water bubble formed above the tub area. One of our beds dipped in the middle and you could feel all the springs poking you. There was microwave provided when online it states there would be one. There are no elevators to assist those who cannot climb stairs.

Our stay was not as expected. First off, the room was not as pictured. The listing images showed an updated room with newer looking bedding and furnishings, while the actual room was in pretty poor shape. The beds were very hard and had uncomfortable, dingy looking bedding. Our biggest issue however, was the air conditioning unit was broken and made a horrible sound when it was running. The noise kept us awake a lot of the night, and we couldn’t turn it off because of the temperatures. When we notified the front desk staff about the situation, they became very defensive and offered no solutions or apologies. We originally were planning on staying two nights but we got a refund for the second night and got out of there. We will not be coming back and would advise others from staying at the Hillside Inn.

The bed was old and had little to no padding. The sheets had been washed in too much chlorine, you could smell it! The sheets had piling and were uncomfortable next to ones skin. We hardly slept at all , sadly! I did enjoy the the pool and hot tub!! Sincerely. Randall Liska
