We drove 8 hours to stay here with our three adult children as a Christmas gift. I would not recommend this home or the property manager. A 5/10 rating is generous. The property manager consistently over-promised and was largely non-communicative via VRBO and text. Issues began Jan 2 and, as of Jan 27, one promised refund is still outstanding. Resolving the first refund required over 3 hours with VRBO customer service. The photos are not current. While the house is spacious, nearly everything is very dated and worn—furniture, carpets, bathrooms, kitchen, tile, and especially outdoor furniture. The price was steep for the condition. The neighborhood did not feel “luxury.” Outdoor amenities are outdated. Pool and hot tub equipment were leaking. The stove had only two working burners and the oven barely functioned. There was no house binder, and pool/spa operation was unclear. Check-in was chaotic: cleaners were still present, a car was in the driveway, and the front door lock was broken—none of which was communicated during our long drive. We also experienced disturbing yelling from a nearby neighbor and frequent smoke from surrounding yards. A maintenance person eventually fixed the door and a toilet. We even had to buy a wine opener despite a large bar area.Although the manager agreed to refund spa heating (400) and half a day’s stay, only the first refund was paid. We stayed only because we had no alternative upon arrival. It is not worth the cost I wish I could write more
