Just finished a great week in Palm Desert, and this property met or exceeded our expectations in almost every way. First of all, our biggest source of anxiety about the property was the second story but the front staircase was not a big deal and more importantly the back patio was wonderful in terms of providing a nice quiet and shady spot for our breakfast and coffee. The nearest pool really is a quick walk, it would have been nice sometimes to not have to walk back from the pool all the way to hit a washroom but I didn't mind as it kind of forced us to refill drinks, snacks, sunscreen, etc on our pool days. It was unseasonally hot during our stay in Palm Desert and the AC in the unit was very effective, quiet, and easy to use. The kitchen was well outfitted and overall we were impressed by the cleanliness. In general the layout of the property for a family of 4 worked very well, and we felt comfortable, there was no fights for bathroom or kitchen space during our week. For the resort as a whole, it is kind of annoying having to detour on evenings and weekends all the way to the front gate but the exchange of security is probably worth it. The Country Club was easy to access and we used it for tennis and the weight room, we just had to fill out a quick form the first time there. The owner replied quickly to the few times we needed to communicate and was always reasonable. We felt the value was fair and we had a great week.
