The house was a perfect size. Plenty of room, clean and comfy beds. Great location. Closets did not have hangers to hang up garments. No trash bags either.

Sunshine Shack

We thoroughly enjoyed our trip. We were a short walk to Rosemary and Alys Beach. The bikes included with the rental were perfect for checking out the area. The communities "deeded beach" is small and much of the area is private. Trolleys were readily accessible around the community. There are public beach accesses a quick drive with easy parking that allowed us beach front access. Our kids also enjoyed the community pool.

Vacation ‘24

We had a great time. When we arrived there was an odd with the oven. It took a couple of days to be fixed. The parking situation was difficult as it is very tight in the circle where the house is located, but we were able to park 2 cars. The house across the street has huge planters out front on road right of way that make it difficult to get in and out with van or larger vehicles. I get why he has them there but he had to realize people backing into that small area was going to be an issue when purchasing a property that close to the street. The other issue was that the better part of 2 days the pool was closed due to someone not using swim diapers or not paying attention to their child’s pottying needs. In fact the last day of our vacation it was closed from about noon on. A couple of days before the same thing happened. We have family with handicaps and the beach is a challenge for them so we come to Seacrest for that pool. I have 3 children and 5 grandchildren and have never had that issue. Ruins everyone’s vacation. I’d outlaw kids who are not potty trained. This is avoidable. Overall it was a great week. We will be back in spite of the hiccups.

Family Vacation

Our family had a wonderful time. There was plenty of space to stretch out. My grandchildren throughly enjoyed the pool. It would help if guests had a stronger WiFi signal. There is a hole in the driveway that my husband stepped in. When we were going to turn on the tv in the living room we could not find the remote. We used the one from the master bedroom downstairs. Great first experience of Florida Panhandle area

My family and I had a great first experience in Rosemary Beach. The town feels like it came out of the Truman Show in a good way. Kids and adults are out and about riding bicycles and taking strolls. The restaurants around the town are great but definitely recommend getting a reservation for busy times. Getting a spot on the beach is also pretty easy if you reserve a chair and umbrella ahead of time. The only downside of our vacation was the shark attack that happened on the Friday of our stay. That was terribly scary for my teenage daughter who was in the water when it happened. I think it is prudent to stay closer to the shore despite such a shallow drop off from the shore. In regards to the house, a beautiful house that is well equipped. We did ask the management for a hair dryer which they quickly supplied us. You will need to bring your own beach towels though. Overall, a very pleasant introduction to the Emerald Coast!

Great house, great location

We enjoyed the house very much. This was a last minute trip for my husbands birthday and everything was perfect. The location could not have been better. The bikes were great, we took them everywhere. The area is so perfect and close Rosemary and Alys beach. Would love to book again and bring our kids next time there is plenty of room.

Perfect Family Getaway

We had the best time! The home was perfect 5 adults and 5 kids - plenty of space to be together, but also to relax individually. The home is perfect walking distance to the square, pool and other close by downtowns.

Winter Family Getaway

We booked the Sunshine Shack for a week while my son played in a New Year’s Baseball tournament. My family from central Florida was able to come up and join us. The bedroom with attached bath on the first floor was ideal for my elderly parents. The bunk room was perfect for the cousins and the top floor loft was great for my teenager. Just the space we needed. I will definitely book again. One of our best vacations !

Quiet and calm

The location was great. The tram made going to the beach so easy but honestly, not a far walk. Perfectly located between Alys and Rosemary Beach. Absolutely loved our vacation. We will be back!

Super weekend to attend a wedding

The Sunshine Shack is super! It is nicely furnished and very clean. The beds are super comfortable. The living/dining area have plenty of comfortable seating. The complex is very nice and the pool is great. Kitchen has all the utensils/appliances you might need. Highly recommend!

Beautiful home!

The house was great! It was well stocked, probably the best we’ve stayed in. They have plenty of beach towels, no need to bring your own. The bikes were a wonderful addition being so close to Rosemary Beach. Although they needed a little attention, the bike rental close to the house aired up the tires and helped us adjust a few things on the bikes. The only thing that was a little disappointing this trip was the beach access. I didn’t realize how far it was, although the tram takes you very close to the drop off. But our beach access was very crowded just not what we’re used to while staying on 30A. The community pool was great, but it closed four times for various reasons while we were there, including one full day. When you arrive, you have to get wristbands in order to go to the pool and have beach access, so contacting security pretty quickly will help your stay move along. Overall great location, wonderful neighborhood, will definitely stay in this location again.

We were excited about the property and our vacation but there are some cons that we experienced that we feel need to be addressed for other potential customers. First, the ac filters and the fan blades were full of dust and dirty. The cleaning crew needs to address asap. Second, the bikes that are in the listing had no air pressure. We contacted the property manager and notified her but we were told that we would have to take the bikes down to the shop to get them filled. I don't believe this should be the case for a customer and it should be checked by the maintenance frequently. For people that don't know, this area is full of bikers and it would have been great to have a nice, working bike as listed. Thirdly, the fire alarms went off at 5am on our checkout day multiple times and my wife and 3 month old infant had to evacuate outside. When contacting the 'emergency' line we did not get through and we were not called back at all. We had to keep calling and finally the property manager picked up after an hour and told us she would text maintenance to check it out.

Wedding Vacation

We enjoyed everything the property had to offer. The house was as advertised, but with the price we paid we hoped there would be a few things that were not provided. For example when we got to the house, every single bathroom and sink didn't have soap. We were provided no trash bags and the trash outside wasnt taken as stated in their welcome booklet. Other than this the house was great!

Repeat stay - will be back again!

This was our second year at the Sunshine Shack, with 8 of us staying very comfortably (we had 10 last year, no problem). The house layout and amenities are awesome for being all together, or hanging out quietly on one of the porches. The location is ideal, just a short walk to the pool, or to Peddler’s Pavilion for live music, or to Rosemary Beach!

Excellent Stay

Wonderful experience for my wife and I with our 2 sons, 2 dtrs-in-law and 6 grandchildren. Thank you April for all the beach amenities and bicycles in your shed. Several of the bicycle tires were quite low on air. We had the very nice workers at the local bicycle rental business inflate the tires on most of the bicycles. This was the first week of August and the designated Seacrest Village area of the beach was limited and crowded. Thank you again April for suggesting that we drive/bicycle to Inlet Beach a short distance southeast on Hi 98. It was a wonderful contrast with much fewer crowds and frankly a larger, more gradual and beautiful beach. I normally do not choose to vacation at a beach, but I truly enjoyed playing on the beach with my family. Great vacation and sharing time with them. Goatfeathers restaurant had fantastic seafood! Thank you!

Beautiful beach home situated steps away from shopping and restaurants in Rosemary, Seacrest and Alys. Easy access to the beach and ocean as well as the large, community pool. Great family home to rent for the week.

Wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful time on our beach getaway and this house was great. The location is perfect for easy access to beach, pool and local restaurants. We loved being able to bike to Rosemary and Allys beach. The owners were attentive and accommodating. The house was clean and very comfortable. There was more than enough space to spread out for the 6 of us. The free use of the bikes and beach gear was an wonderful bonus and a cost savings. We enjoyed visiting with the neighbors and walking the nature trail. We will for sure book again.
