Despite being refunded for my booking, Vrbo is allowing me to review.At initial booking, everything seemed great. Unfortunately, in the month leading up to my stay, the host was unresponsive to multiple messages sent. By the time I had landed at the airport, just 8 hours from check-in, I still had not heard anything from the host, nor did I even have an address for the Vrbo. I called Vrbo & they tried to reach the host multiple times. The host FINALLY messaged with just the address, right at the end of their 1 hour window to reply. They also let me know WhatsApp was better to communicate. Understandably given the circumstances w/ booking & as a solo female traveler, I was not comfortable with taking this off-platform, or even staying at the property given the lack of communication. Fortunately, the customer service team at Vrbo was great & I was able to book a hotel with the difference in price reimbursed under Vrbo Cares. Book this property at your own risk!!
