I reserved the pay later option, assuming I will pay at the property for my stay. For some reason the hotel still took a 107€ deposit from my bank account that I still haven’t gotten back. The check in lady was rude and arrogant when I arrived and tried to ask about all the deposits and credit card details they needed. Our room was super small, two people couldn’t move around in the room at the same time. The walls were paper thin, you could hear everything from other rooms and there was a big party in the apartments across the street, so we couldn’t sleep a minute on the first night. Also the shower gel bottle was broken and wasn’t replaced so we didn’t have any shampoo/shower gel. Positive sides were the location and some of the staff were polite.

Dear Madam, Thank you for your feedback following your stay in Hotel pastel. We must always make a pre-authorization of credit card for each customer when making a reservation as a deposit. We do not charge the bank card, it is just a blocked sum and it was returned to you after your departure. We would like to apologize all the same for this misunderstanding at the reception. About the room, we offer bigger rooms in the hotel. Do not hesitate to contact us by phone or email, we will offer to you a good price and the breakfast included for the inconvenience caused. Tiny room but very clean and comfy

Pros: Clean room, comfy bed
Cons: Bit more polish (friendliness) on reception, room was tiny but I think that's par for the course for Paris
The reception staff in the evening were a bit chaotic, the morning service was a lot smoother! Breakfast was very nice and you can boil your own egg if you want to.
