Great staff but unfortunately many things need some attention. The location is excellent but loses some of it splendour because of the wear and tear in the cottages. The fireplace did not work, the furniture was stained and torn, the kitchen had many missing items, the BBQ was mouldy and unusable. I did try and reach out but no response. Really unfortunate given the friendly staff and great locale.

Accommodated staff made our stay outstanding Cottage setting is top notch, however the resort has repair issues that were mostly taken care of. Our 2 bedroom cottage did not have a well equipped kitchen. Missing basic items like bowls a flipper and other basics. Staff sourced missing items. No one can check in before 4 pm even if unit was ready. Felt sorry for families with tired children and elderly sitting and hanging out in lobby if arrived early which if you come by ferry not great options for choosing arrival time. It seemed inhospitable to make groups hang out to 4pm.

Clean room-some of the furniture looked a little worn mind you with scuffs and “ dings”-did not deter from the overall comfort of the room which included a cozy gas fireplace. Great views from the little balcony access and an inviting deep soaker tub with well designed separate shower. The wait staff in the restaurant were very friendly and the salmon dinner that we enjoyed was delicious. Just the kind of relaxing getaway that we needed.

Our room was spacious and clean with a gorgeous harbour view. All grounds were very well maintained. Though off-season the restaurants were open, the outdoor pool was inviting to soak in heated water and we never felt something’s missing. Only the gym needs a bit more attention. Over all, Poet's Cove Resort is a great location to enjoy a couple of days in calm surroundings off any beaten track.

Staff were nice but the hotel is in dire need of a deep clean and some TLC. We were put in a pet friendly room without being told and there were huge pee stains on the floor and large scratches on the door and it smelled of dogs. Know it’s an older hotel but a good clean and some minor repairs would go a LONG way. View was amazing from the hotel.

Its an enjoyable and relaxing stay. The resort is nested in a beautiful bay with a nice marina, where leisurely walk. The rooms was fairly clean and tidy overall, but carpets do need more cleaning as mentioned by some reviewers. Staff was nice.
