Room was clean, meal was nice. Stay here about 6 times a year for the last 12 years. A little on the expensive side but it’s a lovely place and convenient. Receptionist was not very friendly. For the first time since going there I was asked to leave card details as a deposit even though I’d paid up front. I stayed 3 weeks ago with a friend and was not asked details. My husband is staying next week as well. I have never felt so judged by one person. This was quite disappointing for somewhere I’ve been going for so long.

Wonderful hotel, cosy and comfortable room. Great restaurant and lovely Farmshop next door. Beautiful views and a nice walk available. Didn’t hear the motorway despite it being so close. I would stay again.

As is clear from ratings we really like this hotel. We have used it many times since it first opened in the 1970s and will continue to do so. Yes it's in a motorway service stop but Tebay shows how it can and should be done.
