We wish we had access to more recent reviews before booking, as the review dated Aug 2, 2025 closely matched our experience.About one week before arrival, management contacted us about optional pool heat at 120/day with a 4-day minimum. The daily heating price was only shared after we had already signed the rental agreement, and it was not included in the agreement or listing. At that point, it was also too late to cancel without penalty. We were told the pool typically stays around 84, so it would still be usable without heating. Upon check-in, the pool measured 63, which was too cold for our group to use, and we were told the only option was to pay the daily heating fee.Cleanliness did not match expectations given the listed cleaning fees: dirty oven, surfaces/shelves not wiped, dishwasher left full, and dead insects in the basement (including under and inside one bed). The kitchen was understocked for a home that sleeps 21 (only four coffee cups and limited pots/pans).Both downstairs HVAC units were not working (area with two king beds and bunk room). An AC technician and electrician visited but could not repair it during our stay. Temps dropped below freezing overnight, and the provided space heaters were not sufficient, making the downstairs difficult to use.The home also showed wear (broken cabinets/drawers, patchy walls, stained/ripped curtains), and the air hockey table did not work.
