We enjoyed our stay over the Memorial Day holidays! The townhome was beautiful and had everything we needed. We enjoyed cooking in the well-stocked kitchen and grilling burgers on the back porch.
On the down side, I really wish we had known in advance that upon entering the property, you have to climb a flight of stairs to get to the main living area and kitchen, and then climb another flight of stairs to get to the bedrooms. My 75-year old mother who usually travels with us, would have had major problems climbing two flights of stairs multiple times a day. This important information should have been included in the description.
Additionally, the pool is on the other side of the property (about a 10-minute walk) and the beach is about a half mile walk from the unit across the busy street. Also, the shuttle had inconvenient starting hours and was almost non-existent whenever we needed a ride to the beach early in the morning. We basically had to drive our car over to the beach every day because we weren’t allowed to bring extra beach chairs onto the shuttle bus. Bicycle and Golf cart weekly rental prices were extremely expensive for our large group, and only two people could ride the golf cart at any one time (another rule we found out too late). We made the most of our vacation stay, but overall we believe that the Lost Key property in Perdido Key has a few too many rules that aren’t exactly guest friendly.
