The property and staff were good, my only issue with the room was that the floor was a laminate floor and it seemed to be damp(very humid )feeling in the entire room both days we were there even though the air conditioning was running what seemed to be normal. The hand towels and our shower towels that were hung up after use stayed damp the whole time and never dried . The floor was not clean completely either because I walked around once during the night in socks and they were dirty afterwards. The beds were less than comfortable as well, felt like sleeping on a piece of plywood with a thin layer of foam covering it. Not what I would expect to find in any middle to upper class hotel.

On check in, front desk staff member was not welcoming and did not greet me upon arrival. I approached the desk and without even making eye contact, he said “yes”! There was no “hello, how can I help you” or “welcome to candlewood, how may I assist you”…I felt like I was invading someone’s space as I entered the property! I am an IHG reward member and have been for over 20 years and have NEVER felt what I felt here at this property! I had a second rude encounter the following day when I asked where I could find towels for the pool. A different man was at the front desk and responded rudely and I was really surprised by this! However, upon checkout, there was a woman at the front desk who was extremely polite and courteous! You need more staff like her because the first 2 staff members would be a reason that I not ever visit your establishment again nor recommend it to others!
