This hotel offers no frills accommodations, located in a great spot for beach access as well as dining and shopping. The hotel offers lots of things to rent/borrow for a day on the beach. When I visited during the off season, there was some road construction on going (read: infrastructure improvements) in the area but not a huge impediment to getting around. Staff was friendly and welcoming. Included breakfast was surprisingly delicious!

Booked this hotel because it was cheap and supposed to have free paddle boards and kayaks. Room is decent for the price. We have tried multiple times to use the paddle boards/kayaks and keep being told it is "too windy" for us to use them. Meanwhile, all of the rental places on the beach are renting them out with no issue. It's the beach, there is going to be wind, staff just doesn't want to help the guests use the amenities as advertised.

Great spot! Could walk to the beach and had our own small private beach and food in the area was amazing as well. We didn’t rent a car and didn’t need one another great thing they had was gopher carts that was a service that was free and worked off tips and would take you anywhere around the area.

The elevators definitely need some work—they didn’t feel or sound very safe. There was also quite a bit of dust in the room. That said, the location is great, and the staff was really helpful. It’s fine for a short stay or quick trip, but if you're planning to stay more than a couple of days, I’d probably look elsewhere. (Ps. There is a parking fee!)

Perfect for the Beach

We always stay at Surf & Sand Hotel when we got to Pensacola beach because the price for what you get. It isn't luxurious but is perfect for the beach. The staff is nice. They have the best breakfast.

Great property for the midweek price and location to the beach. Check in was quick and easy. Staff was very nice. Room had a fridge and microwave which is always nice. The only negative is the beds and pillows were not very comfortable however for one night it was fine. I will definitely stay there again.

The Hotel was Great except the A/c unit was loud. They offered to change room but we dealt with it. The woman making Waffles at breakfast was great! Close walk to the beach and restaurants.... loved the pool and beach area in the evening We would stay there again!

Nice hotel!

This was my first time in Pensacola, and I'm glad I choose this hotel. In particular, the breakfast (and the lady who ran it) were great: eggs and sausage offered every day, as well as made to order waffles and other typical breakfast items. The employees were very friendly and helpful, and the environment was very laid back, with a feel of a older family-run business rather than a big hotel chain. Nice restaurants nearby and the ocean is less than a 5 minute walk. Uber and Uber Eats provided very fast service to this location. I'll definitely plan on returning in the future!
