The very best thing about this place is location. It is a perfect place to stay to do all the Old City Philadelphia things you want to do on foot. Thatâs a huge bonus. But, the apartment itself is rundown. There are holes in the wall, a hole in the windowsill, a soft spot in the floor with a hole. The air conditioning vent in the upstairs room looks like it could fall out. The closet door in one room is half broken off, the curtain rods are extended too far and bent. Half the sheets in the upstairs room smelled mildewed as if theyâd been left in the washer too long but put on the bed anyway - we had to take them off and put them in the closet for the smell. The owners state that they have two apartments adjacent to each other, and it seems like the internet is split between them both because the internet didnât work well. There is no place to hang out except in beds and two seats at a small table in the kitchen - yet the house can sleep six. We had to eat standing up. To be fair, they did say in check out that if we were leaving anything other than a 5-star review we should reach out so they could make it right. We didnât reach out because we wanted to leave an honest review (we wouldnât have stayed here if someone had left an honest review), and we felt like these were inherent things to the apartment that couldnât have been fixed. If you are just looking for a great location to crash, sure this might be your place. But it wasnât the place for us. We left early.
