Midweek stay @ The Motto

Friendly staff and a good location. Would've liked a coffee maker in the room. People sleeping on the sidewalk nearby was a deterrent.

This hotel is perfect for a vacation in the beautiful city of Philadelphia. Everything is walking distance. The parking in front with a fixed rate to come and go is very convenient. The hotel has 2 restaurants and a coffee shop, we ate at El Techo, it has a rooftop that opens up and the view is spectacular. The food was spicy for my taste but hubby liked it. The rooms are very clean and shiny. The mattress is firm and comfortable. All the employees at the front desk are so friendly and eager to help with any information about the city. Everything needs a key, at night the entrance and the elevator too. We felt very secured. The rooms are noise proof, we didn't hear a peep the whole time we were there. Loved this hotel.

Nice but noisey

Middle of Philly for a wedding. Big city, no hotel parking ?! But parking directly across the street $50 a day!!! Four nights was $200 !! Was very nice to have coffee shop at hotel, but coffee was bad. Walk the three blocks to Starbucks. The worse thing was thin walls!!!! We always heard our neighbors closing their blinds, watching tv, and bunk bed squeaking. Another mistake, make sure you are not first room near elevator… TOO NOISY

The floor I stayed on was super noisy!!! There were parties going on Friday and Saturday nights and I had to call security. They would stop for a little and then start up again. I was not able to get any sleep! I did go down to reservation desk on Saturday after not sleeping all night and asked them to change my room if the people next door were not checking out. I was told they were checking out that day. That Saturday night, the same thing happened. Party all night! The on Sunday morning all I heard were slamming doors! I was exhausted all weekend. What a way to spend Mother's Day weekend.
