Hilton Phoenix Resort at the Peak offers 432 air-conditioned accommodations, which are accessible via exterior corridors, and features iPod docking stations and laptop-compatible safes. We stayed at this property on 2017, which is why we decided to stay here again. However, a lot has changed and it was very disappointing. The front desk staff had informed us that many of the amenities and restaurants, pool bars, etc. were not open because it was non-peak season. But then after staying at the resort for a couple days, the staff casually be to disclose that “the property just tells guests that you’re around but they won’t extend hours of pool or open restaurants because of staffing issues “, so ultimately it does not have a true resort feel. You have one restaurant, one pool bar, pool closed at 4 and 6 pm on the weekends !!! And the overall property has not been kept up the greatest. The pool that is right beside the front desk, literally has an area that used to be a bar that has standing murky water. We said something to the front desk and they said “the drain doesn’t work”. I understand we live in a world of Uber eats, etc. but nowhere on the website or on Expedia does it disclose that amenities are not in service and there’s only one restaurant on-site. So while it is good to go to other restaurants and support local, ultimately the point of staying out of the resort is to be able to tap into all of the amenities, restaurants, bars, activities in one place.

This was a big disappointment. We booked one night at the end of our vacation- you can't check in until 4pm and I didn't know the waterpark closes at 6pm. We got into the park at 4:45 after getting checked in and changed into our suits only to find the water slide was closed for the night, the restaurants and bars were already closed for the night. So we only had the option to swim in the main pool or do the lazy river which had minimal floaties available considering how few people were there. The room was okay, and the bed was comfortable. Wish I had booked elsewhere though.

Don't waste your $500 a night!

My family of 5 has been going to this resort for YEARS. I am a 50 year native of Arizona. This resort used to be the hot spot. This weekend it was not good. Very dirty, no tubes in the Lazy River and if you ask for them they say "I don't know if we have any". People we standing in line for 15 to 20 minutes waiting to get in and then the man watching over the lazy river said. You can just walk it if you would like. At 1:30 am my daughter called for a blanket and the man that came to the door with a "sheet" told her that we have a balance of $xx dollars that needs to be paid immediately. My daughter is 20 and on vacation with the family. She is not paying for the room. Especially at 1:30 in the morning. Then in the morning we went down to the front desk to see what the charges were because we only had 5 smoothies, one bloody mary and one beer. They had overcharged $30. The man that was working the front desk (Greg A) was NASTY. He was not only nasty to me but also to the gentleman that was after us who was trying to understand why he was overcharged $80. Greg A said in quotes "we need the money now". I said to him that we were going upstairs to get it and he said that "we will no longer be able to get in". My husband said "our kids are in there, you cant do that". He said "I'm done with you and walked away". This place must be paying minimum wage for their staff and no training at all. I have been treated better at the DMV then at this Hilton Resort. Alison the mgr did nothing!

This hotel has very friendly and welcoming staff however it’s pretty outdated. The flooring in the room on ground floor was very hard and uneven in many places. This hotel has great potential it truly just needs some love and a facelift. The water park is awesome but also outdated.

Had a fantastic stay! Lazy river was great. Staff were really nice. There’s a sports bar across the street with good food and karaoke on Thursday nights. Less than 10 minute walk is a little bistro that serves amazing coffee and breakfast/lunch options. The resort also offers dining options they will shuttle you to. We did not have a car and it was easy to navigate where we wanted to go by uber or Lyft.
