Smelled like smoke

We were very unhappy with our stay, the host and VRBO. Renovations were really nice. There was a pigeon nest right near the front door and pigeon poop all over the walkway. Walked in and the place wreaked of smoke. There were candles lit attempting to cover the smell. We immediately messaged the host and said it smelled like smoke and he wrote back saying that he came into the property while we were gone and said it didn’t smell like smoke.we stayed only one night and left first thing in the morning the smell was so intense. He only gave us a refund for the night we stayed.

Nice location

Very nice location and comfortable. A little hard to get in the dark if you are not familiar with the process and the area. I would definitely stay again. Could use more dish towels and pictures of the front and back of the building. Our host was more than helpful grea communication.
