Our stay at Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun was outstanding from beginning to end. From the moment we arrived, the resort impressed us with its beautiful design, modern atmosphere, and excellent upkeep. Our room was spotless, spacious, and very comfortable, making it the perfect place to relax after full days of activities. The staff truly made the experience exceptional. Every team member we encountered was warm, professional, and attentive, always going out of their way to ensure we were comfortable and well taken care of. Their friendliness and willingness to help really elevated our stay. One of the biggest highlights was the daily buffet. The variety was impressive, with fresh, flavorful options available every day and something for everyone to enjoy. The quality, presentation, and consistency of the food stood out, and it was clear that care was taken to keep everything clean, organized, and well stocked. It made dining convenient, enjoyable, and something we looked forward to each day. The resort amenities were also top-notch, from the pools and water park to the overall dining and entertainment options. Everything was well maintained and thoughtfully designed to create a fun yet relaxing atmosphere. Overall, our experience was memorable and exceeded expectations. This was my second stay at this resort. I visited in September 2024 and had a great experience, which is why I returned. Unfortunately, this trip was very disappointing.I paid extra for a Luxury Junior Suite Ocean Front Swim Out – Diamond Club, but at check-in I was given the wrong room type in Building 19 with a completely different view. After checking in, I was told my correct room would not be available until the next day.I was traveling with an infant and a 2-year-old, and the situation caused a lot of stress and wasted time. The next day, I was asked to check out at 12 PM and wait several hours without a room, which is not reasonable with small children. After multiple requests and discussions with staff and management, the correct room was finally provided at 1:30 PM.This experience involved too much back-and-forth, poor room management, and lack of consideration for families, especially after paying extra for a specific room type. Very disappointing compared to my first stay.

We paid extra for a luxurious king bed + sofa room ocean facing , but received - A double bed regular ocean facing room . The room shower pit had mold . There is weird smell in the room 13-401 which was horrible and wnt go away! Did we ask for the room to get changed no! As we were very tired in the check in process with Expedia . Overall for the room allocation, room smell/mold - I have 1 star Royalton Splash - Amenities and Activities for the kids - 5 star ! It was excellent and the best! Royalton room service - we had used room service for 3-4 times and the staff were good - 4 star Royalton room cleaning service - very good and humble! 5 star Expedia - horrible check in process - waited for almost 45 mins, when we were already tired walking to that place ! They do not have a counter at the entrance so ya you walk to them and wait until they are free to get u the room tags. 1 star for Expedia checkin Expedia checkout - even after checking out the hotel, they need all the people in your group to be there to checkout! This is the first time we had to ever go to a counter to checkout. And so ya we had to make multiple trips walking back n forth with our luggage as we did not know it .the lady did not tell us, we absolutely need a checked out paper tag for checkout. Anyway we checkout- 1 star for Expedia checkout process We had a very big issue as we had booked the cab with a another family and Expedia / Royalton / Nexus cabs- all do not have a way to communicat

This resort is definitely generated for families. There were kids everywhere!!! That’s our fault though.. we knew it wasn’t an adults only. We stayed at Excellence Coral last time and I think we had high expectations.. The resort is older and did not give Excellence Coral. As soon as we checked into Diamond Club they tried to get us to join a timeshare presentation. That was a huge negative. Staff was great, food was decent for an all inclusive. Would not be back to this resort.

We arrived after travelling 14hours and were taken to try and sell us timeshares etc. No wasn’t an answer, and that was very frustrating. Cash wasn’t accepted anywhere, charges to room mostly, expect for photo place. Amenities were ok, pool and activities for kids were good.

Specialty restaurants are super hard to book, almost impossible. The buffet can do better with the foods (we saw mussels, shrimps and scallops everyday which covers most of the dishes). My son did enjoy the pool and the virgin piña colada.

The staff was amazing, everyone was so nice and helpful. The rooms were clean, the food was better than expected, except for the buffet. The biggest negative was that I couldn't get a decent drink. If I ordered the same thing twice, they were both different. This was a minor issue for us as we are not heavy drinkers.
