Great location! 5 minute walk to Island which has the best pool/ tennis/ rentals . 15 minute walk to one of the beaches .
Nice to have a bathroom in each bedroom Also very nice that linens and towels are supplied for us , along with tp and paper towels and dish soap. The inside of the house was clean And very comfortable .
The river in our backyard was amazing . Just disappointed in the shape of the backyard and deck . Grill was an absolute mess ( we left it in much better shape than we got it ) Ripped chair . ripped hammock . Planters with weeds instead of flowers . The hot tub could have been cleaner too ! Felt sandy and gritty and the floating dispensers were empty .
We loved the firepit with great adirondack chairs to sit in around the fire right on the river's edge . The lights on the trees made for a cozy feel to hang out after dark .
Had nothing to do with the house but the association decided to pave our street and we ruined our shoes walking to the pool that day . Not sure why they would choose to do that and not post signs to stay off the road ( no sidewalks to walk on ) we didnt even realize it until it was too late .
The community is definitely off the beaten path . Takes a good 15 minutes to get back to main road for restaurants and activities . Moyer's great breakfast spot Murph's was a nice dinner spot and Jubilee had breakfast/lunch/dinners ( gets very crowded )
Also mini golf/ arcade/ ice cream right on 940 was a great place for kids
We really enjoyed our stay at Stowâs house! We had a couple of minor issues, such as our GPS taking us to the wrong entrance for check in and a small intermittent leak related to the freezer needs some attention. Otherwise, our stay was really relaxing! We especially enjoyed listening to the stream in the back of the house! We also saw plenty of deer and a large family of wild turkey wandering around the neighborhood. We recommend Stowâs home and would stay there again!
