The three-night stay in this apprtment was amazing. You’re only 5 meters away from the beautiful Sproat Lake and have some kayaks available to enjoy the lake even more then by just jumping right into it. 5 tolle Tage am Sproat Lake

Wir hatten die Unterkunft kurzfristig gebucht. Julie und Gio waren sehr hilfsbereit und hießen uns willkommen in dem Haus. Gio hatte uns direkt angeboten die Kayaks mit zu benutzen auf dem See....das haben die Kinder geliebt. Die Unterkunft ist sehr modern eingerichtet, man findet alles was man so braucht. Wenn es schönes Wetter ist, kann man auf der Terasse Stunden lang die Seele baumeln lassen. Wenn es kalt ist, drinnen den Kamin anmachen. Wir hatten eine wunderbare Zeit. Danke Julie und Gio

We had a great time there

The apartment was really great and it was the best once we had since many many years. Everything was new, very clean and like it was described on the internet. The owners of the apartment were very friendly and helpful. The location of the apartment was excellent. It is directly at the lake, only 10 meters away from it. To sit on the big terrace we had a nice view on the lake. Related to the apartment was a landing steg with some deck chairs on it. Also some canoe, kayak and boards for paddling were available. Some nice target for short trips (like area with big trees, forests, ...) were not so far away. A big supermarket and many other shops were round about 15 minutes away by car. We enjoyed our time there very much and we were sad when we must leave. Hopefully we can go back there in future.

Perfect quiet and rekaxing Fall weekend

My family thouroughly enjoyed our stay at this apartment on Sproat Lake. We kyaked, swam, hiked and fished with a nearby Charter based out of Port Alberni. A great Fall weekend get-away for couples and families alike. The hostess, Julie, was incredibly welcoming and accomodating! Everything you need

We had a super stay at Julie and Gio’s. Despite arriving during a downpour they greeted us and were available to help get us settled. Julie even had the fireplace going for a cozy welcome. Julie was very accommodating and checked in with us, via email, a few times to ensure we had everything we needed. The unit is clean, spacious and well-appointed with everything you would need from kitchen items, linens and general comfort items. Despite sharing the property with Julie and Gio, we felt we had lots of privacy. Had the weather cooperated, we would have enjoyed the paddle boards and kayaks that were set out for our use. The view of the lake is awesome and having the undercover outdoor sitting area helped us to enjoy that, even in cooler temperatures. We would definitely recommend a stay in this unit.

Great Location!

Quick visit

We arrived later than expected but we were greeted warmly. The space was absolutely wonderful. Views of the lake from every window. A fully equipped kitchen, everything we needed was available. The sound of the lake and a full moon were fantastic after a difficult 12 hour day of travel. We enjoyed the dock, paddle boards and kayaks. Julie and Gio know how to make you feel at home.

Peaceful comfort for water lovers

Quiet, clean, and super comfortable place. Beautiful views from the primary bedroom, no windows in the 2nd bedroom and it’s off the kitchen so not especially private but just fine for my 9yo twins who don’t mind sharing a bed. Beds were so comfy, I slept 9-14 hours every night. Lovely to sit outside on the deck or the dock, and swimming off the dock was EXCEPTIONAL; I’m an avid open water swimmer and enjoyed it so much. Clean, clear, perfect refreshing temps. The lake bottom isn’t nice, it’s rocky and mushy - so it’s best for kids that will wear life jackets or can swim in water over their heads. Jumping off the dock was so much fun and they have beautiful and safe stairs for getting in and out. 2 paddle boards! 4 kayaks! So much to explore! Julie and Gio are charming and friendly hosts who really respected our privacy and were always on call for anything we needed.

A beautiful home away from home

Julie and Gio are wonderful people and fantastic hosts! We greatly enjoyed our stay in their two bedroom, 1 bathroom suite. We spent a lot of time swimming from their dock, and enjoying the kayaks and paddle boards that they provide for their guests to use. They even took us on a boat tour of the lake, which we greatly appreciated. Thank you Gio and Julie! The house is situated on Stirling Arm and the location is incredibly beautiful. The water is so clear and inviting. We settled in quickly and felt very comfortable. It was perfect for our family of 3. We feel very thankful that we had the opportunity to enjoy a week in their suite in August.

The apartment is a beauty. First class construction, super clean. There's a sunny deck looking over Sprout Lake. It's one of the best swimming lakes I've been in (early September) with a large party/swimming dock on the lake. Separate entrance and parking area. We really enjoyed meeting the owners - they are nearby and helpful but not intrusive. Would come back in a minute.

Fantastic Property & Wonderful Hosts

relaxing fall trip

We enjoyed our little fall trip to explore vancouver island and celebrating our anniversary. The location is perfect to go to Tofino, Qualicum Beach, Port Alberni, parks etc. The house is well designed and very cozy and clean. Sipping coffee on the dock in the morning overlooking Sproat Lake while enjoying the beautiful fall colours was a treat. We hope to come back in the summer with our family to relax at the lake.

Disconnect and relax

Julie and Gio's home was everything we could have asked for to disconnect and enjoy a week on the lake. Sproat lake was one of the most beautiful lakes we have visited and our family thoroughly enjoyed the availability of kayaks and paddleboards to explore. Their home had everything we needed to keep us comfortable for our 6 night stay. We really appreciated the home baked goods as well! We would stay again in a heartbeat!
