The lighthouse not only met, but exceeded our expectations. Comfortably held our crew without feeling like we were all on top of one another. Irene is an amazing host and was there for all of our needs. She responded to messages quickly and made special requests happen without hesitation. The location is an absolute dream and I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a magical place to stay on the coast.

Great Rental Property and Responsive Owners

If you are on the fence about this rental - I'd recommend that you do it. I thought the cleaning fee was a bit high, but after checking in you can see why. This is the cleanest property we've rented from VRBO in the Galveston/Crystal beach area. The house is well appointed and the interior feels fairly new. We really appreciated that all cabinets were labeled, and the attention to detail in the check in materials. Check in and Check out were an absolute breeze. We messaged the owners a few times during our stay and they were very responsive. The location is really nice and having the lots on either side as part of the property makes it feel like we weren't at the crowded beaches of Galveston. We really enjoyed our time here and can't wait to come back!

Christmas Vacation

We usually stay at Jamaica Beach on the other side of Galveston island but decided to switch things up this year. The “Lighthouse” as we call it is perfectly nestled by itself with the nearest neighbors being one house over on either side. This positioning gives one a great sense of peace, quiet, and privacy that other beach houses can’t. Waking up to the ocean from the top floor is spectacular. Our favorite part of the house is the beautiful large kitchen that allowed us to easily cook family meals each night. My only complaint is that the hot tub was smaller then we thought and took a long time to heat up.

This place is awesome!!!! Super nice and very clean. Having the elevator was awesome so you don't have to haul luggage up the stairs. This place has amazing views and right on the water. We had so much fun there. I would definitely go to Bolivar Peninsula again if I could stay at this place!

Perfect Waterfront Getaway

The location of the home couldn't be better. Beach access is a walk downstairs and over the dunes. The property itself is very accomidating for a small to large group of people, and setup for guest entertainment with the variety of ammenities and social locations offered. It's also the perfect getaway for a romantic couple when needed. We will be staying here again!

Perfect Beach Vacay

Our family had a great stay at Beauty and the Beach. Being able to walk directly onto the beach from the house instead of having to drive was well worth it. Loved the views and comfortable seating in kitchen and living room. Communication with host was easy and always quick responses. One of the best things about this house is the gazebo. You can enjoy the ocean view from the shade and still keep an eye on the kids at the beach. We traveled with elderly parents with knee issues, so paying extra for the elevator was a must for us
although the elevator does seem a bit old and makes you wonder if it is safe at times. It did work, but sometimes it seemed to stick on one floor or another when we tried to retrieve it. we never had serious issues with it and no one was ever stuck on the elevator, so it served its purpose. We had seven in our family and there was plenty of room. We originally planned to have 14 and had we had everyone, it would have been crowded with only the two bathrooms. As long as you know that ahead of time from the listing and pay attention to the bed layout, the house does accommodate 14 as listed
just not a ton of privacy if that is important. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent again at Beauty and tue Beach.

Great location for a small beach wedding

We were very impressed by the hosts here at Beauty and Beach Lighthouse. Stephanie was so great, very accommodating. The staff that assisted us were kind respectful and very helpful. The location was beautiful and the experience to stay at the Lighthouse was enjoyed completely by the honeymooners! Every part of the house had charm and the views were spectacular. Thank you so much for an amazing wedding venue.

Serene spacious property convenient to much

We stayed a week with friends and found a wonderful church, many nice close real resturants, traveled thru Galveston by ferry to the new Webster Chicken n Pickle, also played pickleball in Beaumont and Port Arthur. Groceries, hardware, gas were all convenient. We rode bikes and enjoyed the beach. The property and host were exceptional. Its such a special type of place we were compelled to take many pictures to help us remember our stay.

Wedding that we’ll tell our Grandkids about

I will admit, mosquitoes were heavy and it was humid BUT despite that, we had an unforgettable wedding. The home was perfect to accommodate my husband and I along with the wedding party the day of. Our ceremony and reception was under warm lights and surrounded by wild flowers. The property owners were on the SPOT when I needed a quick response. I can’t thank them enough for they’re kindness and consideration for our needs the day of and after. They even manicured the lawn the day before and sprayed for mosquitoes. The home was EXTREMELY clean and had plenty of kitchen utilities. ALONG with that, they had tons of wedding seating, tables, decor, and a speaker system to accommodate for our small wedding. We made memories on those lighthouse steps that will be forever remembered by our ancestors (as dorky as that sounds). I can’t recommend a more intimate and comfortable wedding venue/honeymoon home to visit than this one. Thank you so much Host!!!
