The building is old and dated, there was a broken electrical connection with exposed wires. The armrest of the couch was covered in dried up food that should have been removed when it was still moist, it looked like a toddler had eaten Weetbix or soggy toast on it. The TV was hard to use as could only find a small range of channels.
Staff were not welcoming when they realised i was travelling with my Assistance Dog. The room was really overpriced, run-down, leaking toilet fittings with water constantly on the toilet floor, very dark, no windows, horrible uncomfortable bedding. On top of the exorbitant cost of the room they took $200 from my account as a safety deposit and i had to call and harass them to fet it back days later when they had promised it would be returned the mirning after my stay.
I will definitely not stay here again or recommend it to anyone.
Rooms could do with facelift. Paid $270 for 1 night and breakfast at onsite restaurant not included, advised that would be charged extra (other hotel in town includes breakfast at that price). Easy walking distance to South Hedland shopping centre. Free on-site parking behind fence that is locked between 9pm-5am makes it feel secure.
The room was very old, in real need of maintenance and a bit of TLC. While we were checking in the female Manager was very rude to the other front of house staff which we found unnecessary and embarrassing. On the bright side all other staff we had interactions with were pleasant and helpful. The pool was nothing like the pictures and was in need of a good clean as were all of the grounds.
Room was comfortable and what Iâve come to expect from small town accommodation so my expectations were pretty low going in. The main issue was that there was no hot water to shower at 05:00 Which was extremely annoying.
Comfortable motel that served its purpose. It is a little dated bu the bed was comfortable. Needs to possibly have a surface spray to contain the small bugs that occasionally crawl across the floor.
The Lodge Motel was adequate for our Business trip. The motel room was clean, the staff friendly. The room is a little dark due to security shutters on the windows. It is a basic motel though but it suited the purpose. One improvement could be that a surface insect spray could be used as there is a few small bugs crawling on the floor.
Room service very poor and they dont work on Sundays. The motel is very over priced old and matress needs replacing and furniture needs binning . The restaurant was very good and the pool was lovely
I wanted somewhere with a self-contained laundry, this was the only place in Port/South Hedland I could find.
I was unsure about staying in South Hedland as I thought Port Hedland was the 'main' area. No need to worry - South Hedland has as much to offer as Port Hedland.
The family room contained laundry and kitchen facilities (Only used the kitchen for coffee making etc. - both nights we had the buffet at the restaurant). The room also had a small 'loungeroom' area, bathroom (including the washing facilities), and a double bed. A bunk bed (sleeping 3) was in a separate area to the double bed.
A small shopping area is a few minutes walk away.
Secure parking.
The staff were lovely.
The restaurant had very generous meals.
Highly recommend if you have to come to Port Hedland.
Stayed for three nights whilst visiting the area. Room was quite adequate for what we needed and was in walking distance of shops and eateries. Also had its own dining room with buffet diner available which was good. Would stay there again again and recommend to others. Staff were also helpful
Property has a pool which is great. Door handle fell of after 5 mins of stay but quickly fixed. Inside the room is fairly clean but need a bigger bin, paper and pen for guests and a facial tissue as well. The staffs dinât know how to smile they are all serious particularly the lady in the restaurant sheâs like playing poker with a sad face.
