First 4th on beach

My children and grandchildren had an absolute blast. It was our first vacation on the 4th spent at the beach. The house that we rented was perfect for all of us. Location to beach, cleanliness and family oriented community made it a perfect trip. Will definitely stay here again.

Visit to the Cape

The stay at the home was a great experience. My family of four had lots of space to spread out and enjoy the comforts of the home. The neighborhood and ammenties were awesome for the kids to enjoy. We'll be back again soon!

Perfect for Families - Host, Home, Location

This was a great property for our family with a two and four year old. No sharp furniture, sweep able floors, toys, books and games. Close to beach and nice pools. Best of all, close to State Park with calm bayside beach for little ones! It is quiet and peaceful. We had a slight snafu at checkin because the neighborhood gate code was changed, but Leah responded promptly even though it was 11-11:30pm, ensuring that we got the updated code and were able to get in safely. The only reason I gave 4 stars on cleanliness were some dirty (outside) doors, and dust bunnies (retrieving toys from under furniture). Otherwise very clean, no bugs (yay - it’s FL after all)! So really Both “tics” were minor/resolved. I would DEFINITELY recommend this home. Oh yes and I asked if she could provide a baby gate for the stairs, which she did - VERY much appreciated! I hope we can come back again.

Great family getaway.

We spent three nights here with our grown kids and their families. Just right for our group of 6 adults and three children. The house was perfect for our group. Very nice, but not so fancy we would have to worry. A short walk to the beach or pool. A cute pond with a boardwalk and fountains just across the street. We loved our stay.

Beautiful Home

We love staying at Barrier Dunes and have always wanted to stay at this house. It met all our expectations and more! The decor was modern and calming. The roominess and cozy furniture of the place meant that everyone could come together around the dinner table or get some alone time with ease. We’ll definitely be staying here again. It’s a lovely place!

We loved our stay here so much. Leah kept us informed and answered any questions we had quickly. She did a great job suggesting wonderful places to eat! The house was clean and so close to the beach. We can’t wait to go back!

Awesome house and host

The host was incredibly responsive to the small issues that came up during our stay. The house was as described, the neighborhood friendly (lots of dogs), and the beach was beautiful! This part of Florida is still wonderfully natural and not congested. The food in the restaurants on the cape was great, too.

Great House For Families

We really enjoyed our stay. The house was spacious and worked well for a family with young kids. We loved being in a community with easy access to both the beach and pools. The host was very responsive to all messages and very accommodating. It was a wonderful location for a family vacation!

Lovely vacation spot

This house was perfect for our family vacation. We really enjoyed the spacious home to spread out. The screened sun porch was a wonderful extra. The beach was gorgeous and just a short walk away. We appreciated the beach wagon & extra chair available to take to the beach. Owner was quick to respond to any needs. Thank you for a lovely vacation!!!

House was very nice and clean. It has a lot of amenities and was well equipped.

We arrived and were very pleased with the size, amenities, and cleanliness of the property. The property manager was very responsive, and provided us with helpful information, and tips about the community. The house was equipped with plenty of things needed for the beach but, also had games and toys for smaller children. If you preferred a pool instead of the beach there are two pools in the community. The community was very quiet and friendly. I recommend stopping and buying groceries in Port St. Joe because it's a 35 minute drive to pick-up groceries. There are several little shops once you hit the peninsula. If you want an awesome trip to the beach with families and friends this destination is perfect!
