Another nice stay at Ivey House

Ivey House is in a quiet area right across from the beach. All amenities needed for a great stay. Love the yard for our furry family members. Always quick to respond to any questions. Will stay again.

Old Southern Charm

We extend our gratitude to book your home. It was quite charming with the ten foot ceilings. Whispers of the old home transitioned into the new home nicely. The old wooden floors were very beautiful as well! Very charming! The ocean view is brilliant. We did misunderstand that the heated aspect of the pool is extra. Heads up y’all on that one but we went in March and it was amazing to hang out on that back porch with a hot tub, wet bar, grill, pool, ocean view. Kara was very patient and helpful with all our questions. Thank you for the memories. God bless all.

Great place

Nice home with plenty of room for a family. The fenced yard is nice if you bring pets. Spa was nice and the outdoor area is a great place to relax. Outside TV didn't work which was a bummer as we happened to stay during the Superbowl but not a big issue for us. The house was quite clean however the coffee machine carafe had coffee residue in it when we arrived. Great location right across from the beach and 10 minutes to the Piggly Wiggly . Overall a great stay and we would stay again.

10/10 Would Recommend The Ivey House

The Ivey House was the perfect getaway for our family. From the moment you walk in you feel that beach comfort. The house is decorated perfectly and the views are great. This house had everything we needed for us and our family. The beach access was right across the street which made it easy considering we had our 15 mo. old with us. After a long day at the beach it was nice to come back to the pool. The covered area provided much needed shade after being out in the sun all day. The pool and outdoor area is the best part of the house in my opinion. The sun shelf was perfect for out little one to sit and play in. Once she was off to bed we enjoyed relaxing in the heated area. The four seasons room was a great place to enjoy all the meals we cooked allowing us to dine with a view. We also enjoyed the fenced in yard because we decided to bring our two dogs on the trip as well. The homeowners have done a fantastic job making this the perfect vacation home. Kara and the property management team were outstanding as well! We had a couple of questions upon arrival and Kara was always quick to get back and was a lot of help throughout our stay. The only negative from the whole trip is the house right next door was under construction, not the homeowners or management companies fault... but it was a small nuisance for a few hours on certain days. I imagine they will be done with that soon. 10/10 would recommend the Ivey House to anyone. We are already looking at booking again!

First time visiting Port St. Joe Beach

The Ivey House is excellent; very quick communication with the property manager during and before our stay. It was a really nice touch when the property manager called the day before check-in. She even shared a website link with things to do in St Joe and nearby areas. The house is very clean with nice new appliances. Each room had extra pillows, blankets, and black-out curtains. Something to note: the pull-out bed and small twin bed are both located in a very bright room with no curtains. The pool is small but very lovely, and it has underwater seats where you can sit and enjoy a drink or snack from inside the pool. We did not use the spa but it looked very nice. The outdoor kitchen, grill, and music speaker were perfect for family fun and outdoor dinners on the patio. The indoor kitchen was fully stocked with everything needed to cook, bake, or prepare for a large family. We enjoyed the 3 level deck, making it easy to watch sunsets from the top upper deck. You must cross a busy street for beach access, but the ocean view is extremely beautiful from the house, patio, and all decks.

Wonderful vacay at Ivey House

It wasn’t long enough! It was super easy to check in and communicate with the management company. The house was clean and very user friendly. We had an issue with the Wi-Fi and internet service, and they immediately took all steps to alleviate the problem. Would definitely stay there again!!

Beautiful and Comforting

I rented the Ivey House for our 1st family vacation that included my husband, 4 children, brother, and sister in law. My mom had originally planned to try to bring us all to Florida, specifically the Mexico Beach/Port St.Joe area this summer, however she passed away unexpectedly in April. This trip was a way to remember her and take the kids to somewhere that she loved but could just be kids and have fun without the sadness. Family Vacation June 2021

We loved staying the week at the Ivey House. I would highly recommend this beach house. We loved the view of the ocean and the outdoor area and pool. It was a relaxing and fun trip. The owners have thought of almost everything to make the renters vacation perfect. The house is very well stocked. The location is awesome. We will be back!!!!!

Fabulous House!

The Ivey House was our annual family summer vacation for 2021 house. My husband and I along with our 5 adult children stayed here. It was perfect. The house is across the street from the ocean but there isn’t anything on the ocean side blocking your views. This location has the most amazing sunsets! The house is gorgeous and has a well stocked kitchen. The dishes, silverware and especially the cookware are all of great quality and condition. They had nearly everything we could possibly need, only thing missing was a hand mixer (not a big deal we picked one up at the Dollar General for $10) Our family of 7 was there a full week so we cooked a lot. The outdoor living area was my family’s favorite spot! We could be under the covered area out of the sun or on the patio soaking up the sun. There is a large tv out there so we could watch Netflix while soaking in hot tub or lounging on the sofas. The beds were all VERY CLEAN and comfortable. They have motion sensor lights outside in the driveway and front porch, those are great for after dark. There was also a plastic corn hole game set that we used at the beach. We left our wood corn hole set at the house to play in the front yard, that is fully fenced in. Also take stuff to make bonfires on the beach in the evenings — great great time! Truly the only issues were, there is no place outside to wash sand off. That’s frustrating bc it was hard to keep the sand all outside of the house. And in the house there was only a small toy like broom to clean the floors. I had meant to take my Swiffer Vaccum with us and forgot. I suggested to the rental company those two things needed to be added. We actually spoke to our neighbors and started using their hose to rinse our feet, shoes, coolers, chairs etc off. But all in all it was an amazing house. It’s very old and the floors are uneven and it so reminded me of being at my grandma’s house 💗

Above average but issues

House and location were great. Comfortable beds. Issues with ants in house, gas smell outside, and fire pit not working. Management company was quick to respond and very helpful. Water at beach was not as nice as expected for swimming. Confusion about heating hot tub being an extra cost... we thought it was just pool that was an extra charge. But managment company turned heat on hot tub for no additional charge.

Wonderful, Laid back Vacation

We went with another family, our children ranged from 5 to 12. We had a wonderful laid back time staying in the Ivey house. The views were amazing, we even watched dolphins one morning. The kids spent almost all of their time in the pool or at the beach collecting shells and swimming and going to and from the beach was a breeze. The only things we would suggest is some of the nails from the floor were elevated and caught a couple little toes from time to time. So we had the Littles wear shoes, which meant a lot of sweeping. So a bigger broom would have been nice and maybe hammer those bad boys down, a trash can for outside would have been useful as well. However that didn't hinder our stay at all. Communication with coastline was also easy peasy. Would rent from them again and at this place. Wonderful coastal town and a nice break from the socialist state of Michigan
