Okay but wouldnt return

When arrived to check in at 8.30pm room assigned had a do not disturb sign on and hadnt been cleaned. Then given another room which the key didnt work. Got into a room at around 9pm and with the mess around we werent advised how we could pay to arrange breakfast in the morning so we didnt bother. Room was ok but came back to a coffee stained pillowcase left on our bathroom floor the second day which wasnt ours, i assume the cleaner left behind. Walls were very thin we could hear next door talking and watching TV through the wall. We come to the area often to visit family so its only a base but with the cist paid we probably wouldnt pay to stay here again.

Visit to The Village in Portmeirion

Nice hotel with nice room although compact. Great location with reasonable parking spaces (come early). Great host and service and excellent breakfast. Not so impressed with the WiFi provider, required too much information ie DOB and phone number etc which is way too much. So did not sign up for free internet.

Wonderful stay for our time in Snowdonia! Comfy, cozy room. Very quiet and central (less than a 5 min drive to town).

Staff were excellent and made such a fuss of my mum on her birthday . The only ( and this is not huge) strange thing was that the bar closed at 9.30pm which was rather odd, but this did not deter from a fabulous stay , we will be back

Two night stay in single room. Friends also stayed. Good overall. Room, linens, facilities all clean and hygenic. Bed comfortable. Decor nice. Staff helpful. Bacon sarnies for breakfast, other foods also available! Beer in bar good. Room in seperate building from pub so was nice and quiet. Good value.

Include breakfast when booking

The towels were not changed, but that was our fault. There is a sign saying leave them in the shower to change but we didn't see it until this morning. My only minor whinge is that the waste bin wasn't emptied But I advise book with breakfast included, truly great breakfast's served there.

Rooms seem to vary between spacious and elegant and very functional and ‘compact’. No room for chair in my room. Bed was only option. Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Meals excellent but not cheapest. Dining areas more basic than other areas. Parking excellent.

Pretty good for the price

Very friendly welcome. The room was in a separate building and you could hear guests next door and upstairs. There's a weird pump in the bathroom for the toilet and the bathroom - I expect a result of it being an old building and plumbing. No problem for the price. The team were very welcoming and the food was good value. I just would have prefered things a bit quieter but it is what it is.
