Chrysalis was very accessible and responded to texts very promptly and was very helpful during our stay.We loved her little Casita and have marked it for our next day in Portland. I would stay here again and again. Beds were super comfortable and this little home was spotless and had every amenity we needed.Great neighborhood.
Had lots of amenities. Washer and dryer full kitchen. Clean bathroom. It is on ground level unlike art of units in Portland. Many are basement apartments. Nice space. The living room isnât great. Futon for a couch, one chair and a very small Tv. We werenât in the unit that much but do like to music or watch tv at the end of the day.
Perfect stay for me. Just minutes away from all convenience. Easy walk to Woodstock eateries. Nicely appointed rooms. Extremely clean and comfortable. Hosts were very accommodating and great communicators. I will definitely try to stay here on future visits.
A beautiful home away from home. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom spacious, the kitchen modern and well-equipped. It had everything we needed including privacy, proximity to New Seasons Natural Grocery Store, Safeway, restaurants, hardware store, and our grandkids! A heat pump kept the space warm for us and will also cool it down in the summer. Chrysalis and Mark were responsive to our inquiries and ready to help when needed. Her kids occasionally played in the yard between the house and the cottage which I found delightful.
It was fine for a couple or a single or a couple and a child but it was challenging for two 76 year old gentlemen. The one gentleman could not get comfortable in his bed in living room.
The toilet ran which bothered my brother.
I could not get him to write a review but he told me he liked the location, the fact that he could hear children playing he appreciated the conversations. I would imagine they were not easy on you either. I hate to think I will get a bad review because of their rigidity.
Originally, my brother and daughter were going to be there and then plans changed to add his friend instead of my daughter. So It made it more difficult. Sorry.
We stayed at this cottage for 13 days. We enjoyed the neighborhood, the fact that it is quiet and the fact that the cottage is well appointed and roomy. The hosts are friendly and went over the top to help us out in a pinch when our car was towed.
Very nice space, would happily stay there again. Clean, well maintained, comfortable, good kitchen, separate structure away from main house. Only downside is that you are in the back yard, with no view, and to maintain privacy you need to keep the drapes drawn. Owners do a good job of keeping the backyard quiet which is greatly appreciated.
A very cute little cottage with lovely kitchen and bathroom! I appreciated the peace and quiet too. It was a very convenient for me as my son, whom I was visiting, lives 10 minutes away.
Some minor suggestions:
1. The tub and shower were wonderful. Add a dependable grip bar (about 2 or 3 feet long and parallel to the floor at about waist level) to insure no injuries. Add it right under the window.
2. Add more window covering in the kitchen to improve privacy.
3. Add a little more lighting in the living room.
Thank you for a lovely stay!
We travelled for a wedding in Aurora and then stayed in the neighborhood of Woodstock for a respite and visit with family. We LOVED the area, the food, and the simple convenience of this VRBO rental. It was just the perfect size for the two of us and the ammenities were as described in the listing. The host was responsive to questions and provided us with excellent suggestions for what to do in and around the neighborhood and Portland area. We would stay here again!
This VRBO was a handy place to stay while completing testing at OHSU. We appreciated the well stocked kitchen and the clean environment. When we had some challenges with operating the TV and overhead fan, we were quickly assisted and after new batteries were added, all worker well!
A peaceful, private, tidy place to stay!
Everything went very well. Easy to come and go without bothering anyone. Great alternative to motels for visiting friends and family in the Portland area
