Don’t clean your room, even if you ask!

Parking is bad! A tiny lot across the street. They did NOT clean the room or make the bed even after I asked them to for the next morning!! Gross. Two other women said they didn’t clean their rooms either! Sad. I reached out to hotel management and all I received was some towels not even wash cloths. They gave me a cheap small bottle of wine when I left as an apology.

I booked a Deluxe Double Queen at The Mark Spencer Hotel for a quick family visit, and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel welcome and check-in was a breeze. The room itself was beautiful, spacious, spotless, and thoughtfully designed with a perfect mix of modern comfort and classic charm. The beds were incredibly comfortable, making it hard to get up in the morning! The location is also unbeatable. It’s right in the heart of downtown, which made getting around Portland easy and fun. Even though the hotel is centrally located, the room was quiet and felt like a relaxing retreat after a busy day. I would recommend The Mark Spencer to any traveler families, couples, or solo adventurers. It’s the perfect blend of comfort, style, and convenience. I’ll definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Portland!

One of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. The room curtain broke and fell to the floor. It took them over two days to fix it, despite promising to fix it earlier. The bathroom lacked a vent, so all the shower steam was going into the bedroom, causing the room to permanently smell horribly like mildew. There were major stains on the rug. They don't have daily cleaning service. You have to request it before 10am. The noise in the room was loud, requiring ear plugs to sleep. I raised all these concerns while I was there, and they didn't care.

Shannon at front desk was great. Very unique hotel. Comfortable. Only complaint was the sliding doors to the bathroom. You could hear them opening and closing in other rooms. Sounded like someone was moving furniture all night long. Weird.

Friendly staff and service. Door man was knowledgeable and friendly gave good suggestion of dining areas. Rooms and laundry areas were clean. Rooms were well insulated so little to no outside noises. Love the natural lighting and the brick wall which is why i chose this plaace.
