Some staff were amazing. Some staff need training in customer service. Rooms are super small and smaller than advertised. I was in 314 and it is much smaller than advertised. It can’t be more than 140 sq ft with advertised just under 200 sq ft. Breakfast was so so. Not worth €15 maybe €8-9 maximum.

The check in process was great. Room was MUCH smaller than advertised (at least by 30-40 sq ft). Bathroom super tight (room 314). Hotel was clean overall. Basic. Traveled solo. The room (single bed) was very comfortable and clean. Breakfast was varied (eggs, bacon, pastries, cereal, bread, yogurts, coffee, tea, juices). The staff was quite helpful. It's at a walkable distance from lots of tourist spots and there are a lot of great restaurants and bars nearby. Great and safe area in general.

Nice old building and room was decent size with good bathroom. However beds were not comfortable (thin foam mattresses) and room was on noisy street where Saturday night drunks kept shouting until 6am. Breakfast was OK but a bit tired. Staff were helpful.

Hotel is gorgeous! Breakie is good and the room a though small but pretty ok! Cons: too noisy at nite. I can’t really slp on Saturday night where people are returning after party at wee hours! The noise lasted through 4am!! Walls are thin. I can hear neighboring rooms returning as well.

Staff was great. The room was adequate but hot. We had to leave the patio door open to get the room cool enough to sleep. The location was good, too. We had a drunk man moaning in the hallway and stumbling around. The front desk said there was nothing they could do because he was heading to his room. It was 3 am in the morning and not a great way to be awakened.Even with a nice breakfast and clean accommodation, I am not sure I would choose this hotel again.

Staff at reception were very rude and unhelpful. Their bar/restaurant was unattended the whole 7 days. Rooms were to be cleaned daily. Mine was cleaned 3 times in 7 days but very basic. Sheets or linen was unchanged. Towels 3 times. I constantly asked for toilet paper as they didn’t replace. In 7 days the tea cups were not replaced or clean and no replacement of tea/coffee /sugar or any water. It was disgusting service. I would not recommend this hotel to my worst enemy. Should be a one star hotel. Definitely not 4 star. Worst hotel I stayed in and I travel twice a year for last 50 years. Disgusting g service.

Beware of the new Hotel Paris.

Ok, first the young man who checked us in was very great, better than the hotel deserved. The workmanship that did the recent remodel was atrocious especially the plumbing. We tried to stay in the most expensive room 017 and it stank to high hell from sewer gas and the bed was atrocious with its plastic mattress cover and broken mattress.the room we moved to was much better but sloppy workmanship and the floors were so uneven and carried sounds from above down to the room below. The air conditioning was controlled by the hotel and most kept off while we couldn’t open the windows because of nasty cooking smells. Must have been a grand hotel once but the new owners trashed it squeezing in more rooms and keeping costs down. Give your guest sheets on the there beds and buy some real beds for Christ sake.

Stopped twice at hotel as had break at Braga. First room 402 was good and if only this one good reviews. Room 419 poor shower door did not lock. Must have been some issue previously as lock on top of shoer rail so 6 inch gap so water on floor after shower & smell from shower room as assume damp from this issue. Staff & everything else fine

The hotel is lovely and very attractive on the inside. The outside is a little less than breathtaking and it’s on a side alley. With many European older properties there are stairs everywhere. This hotel does have a lift, however, in order to get into the front door you have to go up a set of stairs. There is no staff available to help With luggage, this made it difficult with large bags and my elderly mother.
