We loved how close the Gnome house was to several nature trails. One took us down to a beautiful private beach, not far from the Dungeness Spit. What a special surprise. We took advantage of the trails everyday. We liked the local deer and birds, who wandered near the house, and especially the chipmunks. They dug holes by the back window and entertained us during our down time.The main bed was very comfy. The sofa bed wasn’t, but we figured something out which helped. The hallway near the bathroom was pretty tight, but we appreciated the washer and dryer, and having a lot of windows and blinds to close, when needed. The kitchen was workable for a few meals. We liked the rural location. So quiet.., exactly what we wanted. Our day to Port Townsend was an easy drive from the Gnome House, and a pleasant little port town. Thank you Marjorie for booking us last minute, and replying quickly when needed. Very nice small community.

Location is amazing, quiet and neat residential area with access to gorgeous beaches and nature walks. It was so lovely to have as a home base for exploring Olympic National Park (about 30 minute drive to closest entrance and a couple of hours to other entrances.) Small home, but well organized with all the things you need in a vacation home like stove, normal size fridge / freezer, shower / toilet. Washer / dryer a huge plus. Bed was very comfortable, plenty of clean linens and towels. Wi fi was fast and check in / out was smooth. Owner is responsive and lives close by. Property is exactly as advertised and met our expectations. I would definitely return!

Olympic national park adventure

The place was clean and host was wonderful! Clean house with everything you need and then some. The Gnomehouse was easy to find. Perfect location to park and private beach. Views at the beach were amazing! Even seen a mama deer and baby while sitting on the couch. Would stay here again if ever back in this area. Thank you!!!!

Wow what a fantastic time we had. The Gnome Home was just perfect for the 2 of us! Centrally located for our hiking experience – Nestled in a great back private area of the park- surrounded by sweet deer and beautiful farm properties. The Gnome Home has all of the essentials for an evening of cooking, card gaming, tv watching or just relaxing after a satisfying day of hiking. The private trail down to the beach was a great start to our mornings—about ÂŒ mile down, it’s steep in parts, but has great steps and railings and walking sticks available to assist. If you’re a hiker/trailer- it’s a breeze. While we were very happy with all of the accommodations the Gnome Home has to offer, our absolute favorite was sitting on the porch, both morning and evening, enjoying the activity happening in the Eagle’s Nest- literally just yards away!! New flyers, and feedings were an amazing sight. Bring binoculars for all of the wildlife. Can’t wait to go back!!

This location is magical! The Gnome Home itself was adorable and perfect for two people! The couch in the living room turned easily into a bed. Everything was neat and clean and comfortable! The surrounding area is absolutely stunning! There are many area nature trails and lookouts. You can see them marked with wooden signs. We saw many deer (some right outside the Gnome Home), eagles, and banana slugs! The beach trail is beautiful, although a bit more adventurous! There are many stairs and a small winding path down to the beach. The view is so worth it though! I would most definitely stay here again!!

I really enjoyed staying at The Gnome Home. It was very peaceful and relaxing after long days spent hiking. The beach trail is amazing and we even received some deer visitors in our front yard. The home was clean and all amenities were provided. Would love to stay again sometime!

Absolutely loved the location. It was so quiet. The trail to the beach was a nice quick walk through the woods. I would have loved to spend more time on the property. But the Olympic peninsula has so many things to offer

Perfect Location

Cute little place that waa just perfect for our weekend getaway. Loved the quite and nature ofthe place. Teail tto the beach a bit steep but lovely provate beach. Also walking sticks are at the head of the trail. Basic cooking apices/oil pro ides, which was nice. Also bottled and sparkling water in the fridge. Really enjoyed our stay.

Some hiccups but amazing

There were a few issues but nothing that really ruined our stay. Internet was out but the host notified us immediately, then their was an issue with the water but with 20 min of reporting it host was on site to address. The hike down to the beach was gorgeous even in the rain, but it is not an easy path.

Beautiful view of the ocean right out the front window; deer in the front yard. When we arrived, the host moved us to a bigger house with no charge, as there was going to be tree removal work at our original booking. Adorable decor, plenty of everything you’d need - towels, dishes, cookware. Just amazing!!
