The apartment was quite nice, but after a six hour ride through lots of traffic and difficulty with the key lock box, I realized that there were full-time tenants above and below. About an hour or so after I arrived and got food, it was apparent there was a loud party going on upstairs. I called the owner, who responded quickly and contacted them. Two very nice young women came down with an apology and a bottle of wine. The party was a 25th birthday celebration for one of them. Though they said they'd turn down the music, I couldn't really tell any difference in the noise level, which continued until around 12:30 - 1am. I woke up the next day exhausted and dragged myself through my granddaughter's 10:30am graduation and celebratory dinner afterward. There are no bad guys here, but I wonder at the wisdom of placing a VRBO between two full-time tenants. They have a right to live their lives, and VRBO guests should be able to assume their accommodations allow for a decent night's sleep.
