Book direct with Monopol Hotel, not ebookers

Pros: Excellent location, especially for Carnival where people could be seen in costume for the Carnival start. Also the Carnival could be viewed from Hotel
Cons: Really enjoyed the hotel & it's location
Location: Good base to explore Mount Teide, Masca, La Laguna & the North of Tenerife
Ebookers stated on confirmation that I had booked "Room requests 2 Single Beds Smoking room" I did not request this. I contacted ebookers by email - no reply, then contacted by phone - useless. I resolved directly with Monopol Hotel, who were excellent.

Das Personal war sehr höflich und hilfsbereit. Das Frühstück war reichhaltig und gut. Das Zimmer war sauber und die Matratzen sehr bequem. Leider war das Bad älter, die Duschbrause war dreckig und es roch nach Kanalisation.

Mukava, vanha hotelli. Ehdottoman siisti. Loistava sijainti. Ystävällinen henkilökunta. Aamupalalle kaipasin enemmän vihanneksia, muuten oli hyvä. Menen toistekin.

Hotel plein de charme et très bien situé mais...

Pros: Tout sauf les chambres !
Cons: Hotel Monopol, changez vos matelas et ne rajoutez pas un lit dans une chambre pour 2 ... et vous serez excellent !
Hotel très bien situé dans le centre, face à l'église (les cloches s'arrêtent la nuit), proche des plages, des boutiques, de la gare routière, du grand parking gratuit... Cet Hotel est vieillot mais plein de charme avec son superbe patio et ses terrasses, dont celle du toit pour un moment au calme le soir. On y est à l'aise avec des enfants, les espagnols y viennent d'ailleurs en famille. Le personnel de l'accueil et du restaurant est très sympathique. Nous avions une chambre pour 3 (1 adulte et 2 ados) au 1er étage sur le patio, mes ados s'installaient dans les fauteuils sur la coursive ou en bas dans le patio pour la wifi. Nous étions en demi-pension, le restaurant est parfait pour une famille qui part la journée en visite ou en rando et qui rentre affamée ! Mais 2 gros bémols : la literie et la taille de la chambre. Les matelas sont très mauvais, on sent les ressorts, ils ne sont pas propres et pas tous recouverts d'une alaise (voir les femmes de chambre) et la chambre trop petite avec un lit rajouté pour le 3ème, pas de place avec 3 valises, difficile de faire le ménage…
