An absolute gem. The entire property has been designed with thoughtful intention and a good eye for design. The rooms are comfortable and stay fairly cool even without the AC blasting (it was low 80s during our stay). Everything was spotless and clean. Liz the host is incredibly responsive and friendly. There are multiple units and it was a joy saying hi to our neighbors in the common pool area and decks. The view from the balconies and deck are incredible. We watched the sunset every evening. In the early mornings a variety of colorful birds (including some hummingbirds) would flit about the gardens. The occasional gecko might say hi to you too. We were a little concerned about the potential noise from being near the boardwalk but can happily say it was never a problem. When outside you might hear a party bus a few blocks away or the regular city noises. Inside is very quiet and peaceful. The nearby shops and cafe were great. About the only drawback is that Argentina Street is quite a hill and there are quite a few steps to get to the property. Completely worth it but worth considering if you have any impairments. The only other negative might be a yappy dog from a neighbor but what can you do?If you can’t tell we highly recommend it.

Top of the world

Beautiful sunsets with ocean view. The area in Peurto Vallarta and the apt was beautiful. We felt safe and ate so many tacos. Within walking distance to the malecón and ocean. We also were able to walk to the grocery store to get some breakfast items. Kitchen was well appointed

Winter Getaway

We stayed for a very enjoyable month. Perfect weather and very friendly fellow travellers. The pools are cool but it is very warm and so they feel refreshing. Amazing views with whale activity. Fireworks at night. Never used the air conditioning. Cool in the evening with door opened. Lots of church bells and dogs barking heard but no trouble sleeping. Bed was clean and comfortable. Shower was excellent. Housekeeping and laundry were good. Lots of stairs. Great exercise! Would go again.

Inaccurate listing on VRBO

The VRBO listing gave the incorrect street number, unit name, internet password, view and laundry facilities. The listing said the unit included a washer and dryer, and it was only when I asked Liz about this that I learned there was no washer and dryer and that laundry services were provided after 8 days. The listing did not mention that the balcony outside our door was shared with the next unit or that the ocean view was mostly blocked by the building next door. The sliding glass door did not latch from the inside.The key was extremely difficult to use from the inside and took repeated attempts from the inside to turn. This would have been unsafe if there was a fire, as the only rear access lead to a small balcony and fire escape that neither my sister nor I could have reached from the balcony.The interior of the unit was pleasant, but the bahroom mirror and the one small round wall mirror were not accessible to 5-foot tall women (they could only been seen by someone 6 feet tall or more. There was no information about where to put garbage or where to get drinking water (we asked other guests).I was happy with the location, the beds, the spaciousness of the unit, and the shower.

Do not stay anywhere else!

This is the #1 property in Puerto Vallarta! The space is beautiful, with excellent amenities in every regard. The staff on site - security and housekeeping - are lovely! The host responds incredibly fast and is incredibly helpful, professional, and pleasant all around! I intend to return here, and will ensure that Im able to stay here again.

The location is great. Close enough to walk to the main attractions but in a residential area so no party noise. Clean apartment, great views of the spectacular PV sunsets and wonderful pools. We’ll be back!

Gorgeous view

Wonderful apartment with a great view of Banderas Bay. This unit is definitely not accessible to anyone with physical limitations. Towels provided should be replaced as they smelled musty after only a few days. Toilet paper supply should be increased. (We ran out the night before departing) All in all we enjoyed our week! Thanks Liz.

Amazing property

We had a lovely stay! The property is made up of several individual cases that have shared spaces for seating, pool areas, etc so we were able to meet several people from around the world. The casas are up a few stairs but not bad and the views are wonderful. Liz is a great host and communicates well. We look forward to staying here again.

Everything we wanted for our 2 weeks in PV

We very much enjoyed our 2+ week stay at this property. The apartment was large and airy, with nice kitchen appliances, comfortable bed and great views. The layout of the building encouraged us to use different rooftop locations to hang out by the pool or to watch the sunset or barbeque. The location is just 3 blocks or so up from the beach and only about 4 or 5 blocks from the Malecon. Very convenient for strolling, shopping and dining.

Relaxing Retreat with Spectacular View

Casa Sunset is a magical oasis in downtown Puerto Vallarta, complete with pools, several cozy outdoor spaces scattered throughout the property, and the most amazing view of Banderas Bay. With only 9 units, this building is quiet and peaceful, with all the comforts of home. There is no fighting for a lounge chair at the pool. Even at full capacity, you often have the outdoor space all to yourself. Liz and her team are always available to answer questions, make suggestions, or assist with anything you need, and Liz replies immediately to all messages. She is willing to do anything within her power to make your stay special. During booking I mentioned that our trip to PV was to celebrate my husband's birthday. Upon arrival she had a Happy Birthday banner in our room and a delicious cake waiting for us in the fridge. What a warm welcome! One morning she delivered a freshly baked homemade brownie to our room, and it was to die for! What a thoughtful host! Vanessa and Luis are on the property throughout the day, should you need anything, although you hardly know they are there - via some kind of magic they manage to keep all that lovely outdoor space and the pools spotlessly clean without ever disrupting your relaxation. You will enjoy every minute of your stay at Casa Sunset, from coffee on the patio in the morning while gazing at the mesmerizing view, and listening to birdsong, to floating in the pool, to a glass of wine watching the spectacular sunset in the evening. It's exactly what a vacation should be. You won't want to go home!

Wonderful stay in PV

We enjoyed our stay in this very well equipped and clean apartment. The bed was so comfortable. The rooftop deck was amazing with two pools, numerous levels with loungers, tables and chairs and bar area and a fantastic view to watch the sunsets at or anytime. We want to thank everyone at the Casa for helping us out so much to make our vacation in Puerto Vallarta so enjoyable. Firstly, Maurice (sp?) for carrying our large suitcases up and down the steps; I don’t think we could have done it without him. Maria, was so happy and kind in everything she was doing, especially finding a ring under my pillow that I had forgotten - sorry we did not see her to say goodbye to when we left. Juan was always so pleasant and kind to talk to and especially generous to give us a ride to the airport. Many thanks mi amigo. We are missing them already and also your lovely warm and sunny climate.

Great Space, Great Location

I would highly recommend the property. Access was easy due to the details provided by the property owner. Property owners are very kind and communicative. The 1 bedroom apartment has been updated and is clean. The unit comfortably housed my family of four. Images are accurate. My family watched whales jumping in the bay from the infinity pool! Neighborhood is generally quiet and have easy access to the beach, Malecon, and a supermarket, should you choose to use the kitchen in the apartment.

Great location

This property was amazing, I could not of asked for anything more. Centrallly located downtown we were close to everything, shops, restaurants, the malecon, and a relatively short (about 1/2 hour) walk to the Zona Rimantica. The views from the rooftop decks were amazing and there was no better place to watch the fireworks on New Years Eve. Liz and her husband were amazing hosts and were very helpful in suggesting places to go/eat, etc. She responded to my e-mails extremely quickly whenever I had any sort of question. I will be coming back to stay again and will definitely reccomend my friends and family to this property!. Thanks Liz!
