A taste of the old life. Wonderful experience during our stay. Very cool old venue. Very clean and comfortable room, with great public space. Staff were courteous and attentive to all of our needs. The restaurant is amazing. The bartender brings great life and vibrance to the experience. Wednesday night prix fixe option was well worth it (along with live music in the bar area that apparently has been going for 20 full years). Great combination of locals and people staying at the Inn at the restaurant/bar each night.

Bathroom was minuscule, no pen or stationery in room, no coffee in room , inadequate lighting, especially at bedside. door lock needs repair, lav cabinet shabby, small. Beds good, room clean. Chef in restaurant went overboard to cook excellent meal for vegan wife.

Great hotel but need some work.

The hotel gives great warm ambience. We really appreciated the warm and hardy breakfast that was made in-house from fresh ingredients. The room was big and very comfortable. We would definitely return here and recommend to friends. However, the hotel lacks proper maintenance and cleanliness. The sink was clogged and we had to pull out the sink stop for the water to drain, which pulled up a lot of hair. We also found hair in the bed and one of the pillow case was so dirty and stained that we removed it from the bed. Mold in the caulkings left a dirty impression of otherwise a great hotel. Be aware and travel light when coming to this hotel. This hotel does not have an elevator and the stairs are very narrow.
